Goalkeeper

Gianluigi Donnarumma- 5.5/10

Gianluigi Donnarumma barely had to move in his box today, especially in the first half, where he was barely tested by the Botafogo players. He could only watch when Igor Jesus scored the first goal. He saved his team on multiple occasions in the second half from conceding the 2nd goal.

Defenders

Achraf Hakimi- 6/10

Achraf Hakimi was seen high on the pitch since the kick-off whistle. Due to PSG's search for the first goal, the Moroccan was given the green light to move up through the wings. He was equally effective in defense as he was in attack.

Lucas Beraldo- 5/10

Lucas Beraldo had a below-average first half. Though he made sure his defense had a high line in the pitch to allow the midfield more passing options going forward, it was his and Pacho's defensive error that allowed Botafogo to have the lead at the 36th minute.

Willian Pacho- 5/10

Willian Pacho had a high defensive line with his defensive partner Lucas Beraldo. He was often seen high up on the pitch to give his team the extra man in the middle. However, poor marking and decision-making from him led to Botafogo's first goal of the match/

Lucas Hernandez- 6/10

Lucas Hernandez was a wall on the left-hand side for PSG today. Unlike Hakimi, he did not wander much forward in his line. He played one of the most important roles in defense, cutting off many promising build-ups from Botafogo.

Midfielders

Senny Mayulu- 5/10

Senny Mayulu could not find his rhythm in the midfield at all. He was nowhere near his best and failed to have the chemistry with Kvaratskhelia in the first half. Tried overlapping runs around his winger but failed to deliver quality balls into the box from there.

Vitinha- 6/10

As expected of him, Vitinha was the player who controlled the game from the middle. From smooth transitions to helping his team reset, the Portuguese had the most important duties on the pitch today, and he made sure to get the best out of his team.

Warren Zaire-Emery- 6/10

There is no doubt that the PSG midfield won the midfield battle of the match. A quest where Warren Zaire-Emery was instrumental. He had more attacking responsibilities in the first half, especially after his team conceded the first goal.

Forwards

Desire Doue- 6/10

Desire Doue used his clever footwork to get out of challenges and defenders, but the Frenchman failed to find himself in promising positions in the first half to rattle the ball into the net to score the first goal for his team.

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia- 7/10

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia was a joy to watch since the kick-off whistle. From dribbling towards the goal to drawing defenders to himself to create space for others, he was instrumental in PSG's attack in the match.

Goncalo Ramos- 5.5/10

Goncalo Ramos could not find himself in a dangerous position with the ball, given how well Botafogo defenders held their shape in the first half. The forward still made sure to drop deep and help his team with the build-up.
