PSG VS Inter Milan Player Ratings: PSG Win Their First-Ever Champions League as Desire Doue Runs Riot Against Inter Milan

PSG ended their long drought for a Champions League title by destroying Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena. The Parisians attack was in full swing as the Italians who are quite known for their defence were slit apart with ease. Luis Enrique delivered his promise by winning his second Champions League crown. Desire Doue was the headline maker as he ran the show in the first half with a goal and an assist. He added another goal in the second half as PSG continued to press on to record the biggest win in Champions League final history.
Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring as Doue slipped him in after Vitinha played an incisive pass in the 12th minute. Doue himself was on the scoresheet eight minutes later as he finished a sweeping move thanks to a deflection. Marcus Thuram had a huge chance for Inter, but he couldn't convert as his side ended the half without a shot on target. PSG's intense press meant more goals could've been scored.
Such concerns were taken care of in the second half as Doue finished yet another counter. This goal killed off the game. To make it look like men vs boys, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia got on the act by scoring past Yann Sommer. Senny Mayulu received a Bradley Barcola pass in the box to score with his first touch in the 89th minute to make it 5-0 and inflict misery on Inter Milan. The referee ended the game as soon as the clock hit 90 to put them out of their misery.
It ended PSG's long wait for continental dominance as Enrique's young and hungry team played some of the best football on their way to glory. The performance in the finals was a testimony to that. Meanwhile, Inter Milan would've never expected a collapse of this order, as they were blown away. They lost their second Champions League final in three years, and this one's wounds will be open for quite some time.
Here are the PSG VS Inter Milan Player Ratings.
PSG Player Ratings vs Inter Milan

GK - Gianluigi Donnarumma-7/10
Needed a reason to get involved as he miscued a routine kick to be called into action. Saved his clean sheet with a great save from the first shot on target.
RB - Achraf Hakimi-8/10
Ghosted into the box to find a pocket of space to easily convert Doue's pass from close range. Had to be emotionally mature as he was up against his ex-side.
CB - Marquinhos-7/10
The lone survivor of their previous finalist team, he wore the armband and inspired his teammates to do better. Kept Inter at bay when they pushed hard.
CB - William Pacho-7/10
The centre-back showed excellent awareness to keep the ball in play in the lead-up to their second goal.
LB - Nuno Mendes-7/10
He was pretty much playing as a conventional fullback, keeping Dumfries' threat in mind. Aced his physical battles against his opposite number.
CM - João Neves-7/10
Protected the defence by sitting in a pivot role alongside Vitinha. Kept it ticking by playing simple passes.
CM - Vitinha-8.5/10
His pass between the lines cut through Inter Milan like a knife through butter. Showed great tenacity to win the ball and do something with it.
CM - Fabian Ruiz-7/10
Had a free role when they were on the ball as he tried to mix up their attacking patterns. Took up interesting patterns, but they weren't fruitful.
RW - Desire Doue-9.5/10
Became the youngest scorer in a Champions League final in 21 years as he ripped Inter Milan apart. Scored a fantastic brace and slid Hakimi in for the opener.
ST - Ousmane Dembele-8/10
The Frenchman played a withdrawn role at times to strike chaos into Inter's backline, and it worked as the centre-backs were dragged wide apart. Found Doue with a lovely cross to rack up an assist and also picked up Kvara with a delightful pass.
LW - Kvicha Kvaratskhelia-8.5/10
Had a field day running at Benjamin Pavard and co. He slipped in Dembele as they broke for the second goal. Got his moment in the second half as he finished a move brilliantly to make it 4-0.
SUB - Bradley Barcola-7/10
Should've scored a brace himself, but had to adjust for an assist.
SUB - Lucas Hernandez-6/10
SUB - Senny Mayulu-7/10
Scored with one of his first touches of the game as he scored a goal in the Champions League final.
SUB - Warren Zaire-Emery-6/10
SUB - Goncalo Ramos-6/10
Manager - Luis Enrique-9/10
Set the tone in the first minute with their new kick-off tactic as they gave the ball away to press the opponents high. The pressing, tactics, and attacking patterns were on point as they completely blew Inter Milan away.

Inter Milan Player Ratings vs PSG

GK - Yann Sommer-5/10
The goalkeeper was very uncomfortable as PSG's front line pressed him relentlessly. Could've saved the second goal from Doue if not for a deflection. Was well beaten for the other goals.
CB - Benjamin Pavard-5/10
The Frenchman started the game half-fit, and it really showed as he was never comfortable. He was second best in duels and was tormented by Kvara all game long before being withdrawn in the 54th minute.
CB - Francesco Acerbi-5/10
The veteran centre-back wasn't able to channel his defenders better against a free-flowing PSG attack. Had a great chance to score in the 23rd minute, but he couldn't keep his header down.
CB - Alessandro Bastoni-5/10
Enjoyed a duel with Doue where he never came out on top convincingly. The teenager managed to get under the skin of Bastoni and force mistakes from the defender.

RM - Denzel Dumfries-6/10
Had the onus of providing them with width on the right side, but he was silenced by Nuno Mendes. Tracked back to help his defence, but it wasn't enough.
CM - Nicolo Barella-6/10
Had one of his worst games as he failed to get the basics right. Tried to keep the ball in, sheepishly, as it was stolen away from him. His touches let him down, and he was dispossessed multiple times.
CM - Hakan Calhanoglu-5.5/10
The setpiece specialist caused a problem or two early on with his deliveries, but his influence on the game waned after that.
CM - Henrikh Mkhitaryan-5.5/10
The Armenian was a hologram on the pitch tonight as he neither helped defensively nor offensively.
LM - Federico Dimarco-4/10
Held a deep line for the first goal and left his man unmarked for the first goal. An unfortunate deflection of his took the ball away from Sommer for the second goal.
ST - Lautaro Martinez-6/10
The striker barely had a sniff of the ball as PSG's defence kept him at an arm's length.
ST - Marcus Thuram-6/10
Should've scored in the first half to reduce the arrears. Lost his cool in the second half as he made rash challenges and earned a yellow card.

SUB - Yann Bisseck-6/10
SUB - Carlos Augusto-6/10
SUB - Matteo Darmianb-6/10
SUB - Nicola Zalewski-6/10
SUB - Kristjan Asllani-6/10
Manager - Simone Inzhagi-4/10
PSG's fluid football decimated his famous low block. The defence huffed and puffed to keep up with the opponents. The decision to chase the game in the second half incurred more punishment as they conceded more goals.
