Real Madrid 4-0 Valencia Player Ratings: Mbappe Rated 9/10 as His Brace Secures Dominant 4-0 Win

Real Madrid Vs Valencia Player Ratings

Summary

  • Real Madrid beat Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu by 4 goals, thanks to a brace scored by Golden Boot winner Kylian Mbappe
  • Kylian Mbappe was the best player of the game

Real Madrid were simply on another planet, dismantling a poor Valencia side 4-0 at the magnificent Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. The star of the show? You could pick a few, but French striker Kylian Mbappe was utterly ruthless. He bagged a brace, one from the spot and another a clinical finish that showed his class. His pace and movement were just too much for Valencia's backline, who looked lost at sea. It felt like every time he touched the ball, something was about to happen.

But it wasn't just him. Jude Bellingham added another goal to his tally with a strike from distance and the surprise package, Álvaro Carreras, was a revelation at left-back, even getting on the scoresheet himself. Valencia had no answers. They looked shell-shocked from the opening whistle and despite a penalty save from their keeper, they offered little resistance. It was a complete and utter domination.

Valencia Player Ratings vs Real Madrid

Here are Valencia Player Ratings vs Real Madrid

Goalkeeper

Julen Agirrezabala - 7.0: Honestly, we felt for him. Conceding four goals looks terrible on paper, but he made seven saves. The penalty save on Vinicius Junior was a genuine moment of defiance. Without his crucial interventions, this could have easily been a seven or eight-goal humiliation. A bizarre, thankless task for him tonight but he came out with some credit.

Defenders

José Copete - 5.0: A really difficult evening for the centre-back. He was part of a defensive unit that was constantly pulled out of position by Madrid's fluid attack. What stood out to us was an error that led directly to a shot. He just seemed a step behind the pace of the game all night.

César Tárrega - 5.5: The handball for the first penalty was a crucial, deflating moment for his team. From our perspective, it was clumsy rather than intentional but costly nonetheless. He did rack up an incredible 14 clearances, which just highlights the relentless pressure he and the defense were under. That single mistake was huge.

Thierry Correia - 4.5: A complete nightmare outing. He gave away the second penalty with a clumsy challenge and was completely overwhelmed by the dual threat of Carreras and Vinicius Jr. It was no surprise to see him hooked after just 55 minutes. He'll want to forget this one as quickly as possible.

José Gayà - 5.5: The captain tried to lead, but he was swimming against a tidal wave. He did create one chance and got forward when he could. Defensively however, he was part of a shambolic backline. Losing possession ten times is far too much for a player of his quality.

Midfielders

Luis Rioja - 5.0: We barely noticed he was on the pitch. Substituted after 55 minutes having done very little to trouble the Madrid defense. He was mostly a passenger in a game where his team needed him to provide an outlet. An anonymous performance.

Diego López - 5.0: Much like Rioja, he just couldn't get into the game. An error leading to a shot summed up his struggles. He was substituted early having made no real impact. The midfield battle was lost, and he was a casualty of it.

Pepelu - 6.0: He certainly worked hard, you can't deny his effort. He touched the ball 74 times and completed a high number of passes. But it was all largely ineffective possession as Madrid's press and quick transitions bypassed him with ease. A lot of effort for little reward.

Baptiste Santamaria - 6.0: He tried to be a physical presence in the middle of the park, but like Pepelu, was fighting a losing battle. He was tidy on the ball and kept things simple. He lacked any real creative spark to change the game's momentum.

Forwards

Arnaut Danjuma - 5.5: He was isolated for most of the game, living off scraps. He worked hard to press from the front but the service to him was non-existent. Losing possession nine times tells the story of his struggle to hold the ball up and link play.

Lucas Beltrán - 4.5: Being dispossessed six times in just 46 minutes says it all, really. He struggled to get any foothold against Militão and Huijsen. It was a tough, thankless night for the forward, who was taken off at halftime.

Substitutes

Jesús Vázquez - 6.0: Looked lively after coming on and provided the assist for the shot that hit the post. Offered more than the man he replaced.

Hugo Duro - 5.5: Ran around but had little service to work with.

Eray Cömert - 5.5: Brought on when the game was already gone.

André Almeida - 6.0: Forced a good save from Courtois with a long-range shot.

Javi Guerra - 6.0: Hit the post late on and picked up a yellow.

Manager

C. Corberán Vallet - 4.0: His team was set up in a way that just couldn't cope with Madrid's intensity. They were tactically outclassed from the first minute to the last. His substitutions did nothing to change the flow of the game. A day to forget for the manager.

Goalkeeper

Thibaut Courtois - 6.5: The easiest clean sheet he'll ever earn. He had just one save to make the entire game. His distribution was clean and tidy as always. From our perspective he could have brought a book to read for most of this match.

Defenders

Éder Militão - 7.0: He looked so comfortable at the back. He was aggressive when he needed to be, winning most of his duels and stepping out with the ball. Valencia's attack gave him absolutely no trouble. A very solid, composed performance from the Brazilian.

Federico Valverde - 8.5: Captain on the day, and he played like one. What an engine this man has. He was genuinely box-to-box, provided a great assist for Bellingham's goal, and was tenacious in the tackle. His energy and drive set the tone for the entire team. A brilliant captain's performance.

Álvaro Carreras - 9.0: What a player. This felt like his breakout game. He won a penalty, scored a sensational goal, and was an absolute force of nature down the left flank. With 122 touches, he was involved in everything. The best player on the pitch, and our clear Man of the Match. A truly special performance.

Dean Huijsen - 7.0: Very composed for a young defender. He boasted an excellent passing accuracy and made several key clearances. He looked right at home in this Real Madrid side and wasn't fazed by the occasion at all. A mature display.

Midfielders

Jude Bellingham - 8.0: Another day, another goal for the superstar. He scored a beauty from outside the box. He controlled the midfield, created chances, and was a constant threat. We noticed he lost the ball a bit too much for his high standards, but his overall impact was still immense.

Aurélien Tchouaméni - 6.5: He did all the dirty work in the first half before being substituted at the break. He picked up a yellow card but was effective in breaking up what little Valencia offered. A solid, if unspectacular, shift.

Arda Güler - 7.5: Looked incredibly bright in his 46 minutes of action. He provided a sublime assist for Mbappé's second goal, created another big chance, and had two shots on target himself. It was a shame to see him go off; he was causing all sorts of problems.

Forwards

Vinicius Junior - 7.0: A slightly frustrating night for him on a personal level. He had a penalty saved and missed another big chance. Despite the wastefulness, he was still a constant threat, creating three chances for his teammates. Still influential, even without a goal.

Kylian Mbappé - 9.0: The ultimate difference maker. He scored a brace, including a coolly taken penalty to open the scoring. His finishing was clinical and his movement absolutely terrorized the Valencia defense all night. A simply world-class display of forward play.

Franco Mastantuono - 6.5: He didn't get a goal or an assist, but he was a key cog in the attacking machine. His crossing was a bit wayward at times, but he linked play intelligently and drew fouls in good areas. A good, hard-working shift from the youngster.

Substitutes

Dani Ceballos - 6.0: Came on and kept the ball moving, game was already won.

Eduardo Camavinga - 6.5: Added energy and steel to the midfield in the second half.

Raúl Asencio - 6.0: Slotted in seamlessly at the back.

Rodrygo - 6.5: Looked sharp and dangerous in his cameo.

Endrick - 6.0: Won a free kick late on but had little time to make an impact.

Manager

X. Alonso Olano - 9.0: A perfect game plan from the gaffer. His team selection was spot on, and they executed his attacking philosophy flawlessly. They pressed high up the pitch, moved the ball with speed and precision, and were utterly ruthless in front of goal. A tactical masterclass.
