Tottenham hosted Liverpool at their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday, December 22 and fell to a 6-3 defeat after an eye-catching contest.

Luis Diaz handed the Reds the advantage midway through the first half as he converted from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pass. Alexis Mac Allister doubled their advantage, but James Maddison pulled one back for Tottenham. However, Dominik Szoboszlai scored to give Liverpool a 3-1 lead heading into the half-time interval.
Mohamed Salah continued the carnage on the other side of half-time as he made it 4-1 in the 54th minute, before bagging his brace for 5-1 in the 61st minute. Tottenham then pulled two goals back via Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke, but Diaz scored his brace late on to seal a 6-3 win.
