The World's favourite sport, football, has a huge fan base even in the virtual world of video games. Many football stars themselves play these games and enjoy them. EA Sports FC, formerly called the FIFA video game series, is the biggest shark in this pool for decades, but reports of 2K's entry have got the community on its feet.

The job listing emphasises the use of data (telemetry, Real-Time Analysis) that are related to live balancing and dynamics tuning, which are at the core of football video games.

Both the team and game are in the early development stage, so expect a launch only by 2028. Since 2k is hiring for both mobile and console, the new football game will support cross-platform play. The game could be named FIFA 2K26 and is proposed to be realistic and competitively built for both casual and serious gamers.
