Aniimo Just Revealed a Massive Beta Update With New Creatures and Areas

Pawprint Studio has officially announced the Aniimo Global Closed Beta, giving players a chance to try the game before its full release. The announcement was made alongside a new gameplay trailer shown during the Future Games Show. The developer also confirmed that Aniimo is currently planned for release in Q3 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile devices.

Aniimo Beta Expands World and Creature Roster

In the next beta, there will be new locations to uncover in Idy for players to explore. The game itself sees players becoming Pathfinders who venture along with magical animals called Aniimos. One of the primary gameplay mechanics involves twining with the Aniimos and moving around, exploring, and fighting from an exclusive point of view.

Some of the new Aniimos that will be introduced through the beta include Bubbeep, Popapus, Mophling, and Sausite. There will also be new forms for players to find in the game, including Budsquire and Thornblade.

Astra Updates, and Island of Peace Revealed

Astra is getting more content with new creatures in the beta. Players will be able to visit accessory shops to buy customization items, and choose from more cosmetic options available in new locations such as clothing stores and blind box shops.

The housing system is also getting an upgrade. Players can customize their Homeland, accessed by an RV-style mobile base, with more decorations and Aniimo-themed items. Another major addition is the Island of Peace, a brand-new water-themed region that players will be able to explore for the first time during the beta.

How to Play Aniimo Closed Beta

Those interested in playing the Aniimo CBT can do so via the website until July 5. The selected participants will be able to take the test once the servers open on July 9.

The Aniimo Global Closed Beta is mainly targeted at PC gamers, but the latest trailer also showed features that will be included in the mobile versions of the game.

PvP Modes, Co-op Bosses, and Trading Arrive During Testing

The Aniimo Global Closed Beta will also feature a handful of multiplayer elements. Diamond Egg Heist is another big attraction. A player-versus-player mode with up to six teams of three players each will be added. The teams will try to steal and defend a diamond egg while battling other squads. Players who prefer co-op gameplay can team up to challenge new bosses such as Bubbask and Coraliz. In addition, the beta will include an Aniimo trading system, allowing players to exchange creatures with one another.
