4 min
Battlefield 6 S2 Phase 2

Summary

  • Battlefield 6 Season 2's new update is scheduled to roll out on March 17, 2026.
  • This update will bring out new updates, like a new LTM, Map, vehicle, and much more.
  • Our article breaks down all the information we have so far.

Phase 2 of Battlefield 6 Season 2 is coming, and the community is expecting some interesting changes, similar to the first phase. The first phase brought a couple of weapons, maps, movement nerfs, and a couple of QoL (Quality of Life) changes to potentially revive the iconic FPS to its original state.

EA, however, has remained silent about the upcoming changes for phase 2. Prominent leakers from the community, on the other hand, have shared some info on it. From an interesting limited-time mode to a couple of weapons, players are certainly in for a treat. On that note, let's take a look at the potential changes in Battlefield 6 S2 Phase 2.

Phase 2 Is Expected To Bring Some Interesting Changes

@BattlPULSE is one of the most trusted leakers in the Battlefield community. As discussed, while EA has yet to announce the full changes, the creator leaked some interesting information about the upcoming Battlefield 6 S2 Phase 2. That said, here's a brief on the changes:

A Limited-Time Mode and New Map

If the leaks turn out to be true, a limited-time mode named “Nightfall” will arrive in-game. This mode will be played in a newly introduced map named Hagental Base. The rules are simple: players have to fight in low visibility, and they can equip Night Vision Goggles as a free gadget.

We've already mentioned the Hagental Base map. Those who've played the Operation Underground map in BF V might recognise the overall atmosphere. According to leakers, it'll be a close-combat map and feature multiple flanking tunnels.

Apart from the new content, the Fort Lyndon map will receive a new Point of Interest, named Defense Testing Complex 3.

New Vehicle and Weapons

Two new weapons and a brand-new vehicle are likely to be introduced in Battlefield 6 Season 2 Phase 2. The Dirt Bike will be the fastest land vehicle in-game. However, there's a catch. Both the passenger and the rider will be fully exposed.

A new submachine gun named CZ3A1 is likely to be introduced. According to the leakers, it'll feature 1000 RPM, suitable for maps like Hagental Base.

Another one will be a sidearm, named VZ.61. The machine pistol will feature a high rate of fire.

That's all about the important changes. Apart from the aforementioned ones, EA developers are also expected to bring new attachments and portal updates as a part of the QoL changes.

The Community Is Furious About The Potential Changes

Despite EA developers' efforts to satisfy the community, players seem to be furious with the current situation of the FPS. Most of them have taken this issue to X, and complained about the lack of enough maps and matchmaking issues. One of the users, @renfro9_fan, has mentioned how the player base doesn't want limited-time modes, but maps. They mentioned:

Opening Quote

Your player base wants LESS limited time modes and MORE maps.  Please and thank you.

Closing Quote

Another Battlefield enthusiast, @TheScree, pointed out that EA developers aren't listening to the playerbase. Instead of bringing in long-range maps, they're still introducing close-combat maps, and it certainly irritates the community.

That's all we have to discuss on Battlefield 6 Phase 2. In case you want to get a recap on the recent update, check out our recent coverage of BF6 Update 1.2.1.5 Changes.
