Battlegrounds Mobile Masters Series crowned a new champion this weekend on September 14th, 2025. One Plus K9 eSports finally had their moment of glory as they surpassed other BGMI giants to become the fourth team to lift the BGMS trophy. K9 eSports lineup included the likes of Omega, NinjaBoi, Slug, Beast and Arclyn. The boys won the bragging rights and finished at the top-most podium, an achievement that had eluded them on multiple occasions in the last few tournaments.

One Plus K9 eSports' journey at BGMS 2025 was not a bed of roses. It was more of a retribution for all the players in the team. They failed to finish as one of the bounty teams and had to see themselves battle for a grand finals via multiple rounds. K9 ended the league stage in 12th place with 428 points. In the semifinals, they finished 2nd with 81 points. They went on to better this by claiming the top spot in the finals with 107 points. K9 eSports also got three WWCDs in the BGMS 2025 grand finals. Following their victory, the entire team shared their insights from the event.

The entire team arrived on stage to express their feelings and answer some questions after the award ceremony. The entire team was led by their IGL ( In-game Leader) Omega. All five players answered some of the queries of the reporters in attendance. Here are the questions and their answers from the reigning BGMS Champions.

Question: Is this victory an answer to all who doubted your (K9 Omega) abilities? (referencing the incident with Hector)

What I want to say is that life always takes a complete circle. It was the last BGMS where I was wronged (laughs) and all of this began from there. As of now some of those (people) are now sitting back in their homes and some here in attendance watch me lift the trophy. I wont like to say much on this, God is watching us all.

Question: How were the last few moments for you in the last game after you (K9 NinjaNoi) got eliminated?

The moments were very nerve shattering. We thought if we could take 3-4 points more, things would be easy for us. But we only managed to get a couple of points. After we got eliminated in the final match, all of us were calculating the points of the next teams in line, that they would need certain number of finishes to topple us. But once Godlike won the match, we were sure that we won!

Question: You (K9 Slug) had been waiting for your trophy for a long time. Tell us about how you feel now?

I am very happy. This is the first time I am lifting any trophy in my career. My team mates are equally happy, my mom would be happy and proud. She told me to win this one, its a very beautiful trophy and i feel like i kept her promise. I feel even God was on our side today. We were lucky at times and no body could have stopped us today. Lastly i would like to ask, where are those players who panned us?

Question: What was going through your mind when you started the day, knowing some teams are really close to your top spot?

We didn't start the day well. We made a good comeback in Miramar. We saw Soul got eliminated early while drop clashing in Sanhok. Then in the last match we became Godlike supporters and hoped they get the win and they did. So finally we won the trophy. We were tired and frustrated at finishing second or third everytime but finally we got the trophy!
