Krafton India Awards are facing some heavy backlash after the controversial nominations in multiple categories of the show. Soul Mortal, aka Naman Mathur, the picture boy of the Indian Gaming Industry, especially BGMI Esports, has expressed his frustration over the 'shitty' nominations across multiple categories at Krafton India Awards 2025.

Earlier, Krafton India had officially announced their first award show in collaboration with IQOO and Flipkart. The event is scheduled on January 9th, 2026, in Mumbai. The invite-only show will felicitate the best content creators, athletes and broadcasters who have helped propel the growth of the Indian Gaming industry.

Soul Mortal, one of the pioneers of the Indian Gaming industry, a former e-athlete who represented India and one of the most loved gaming creators slammed the Krafton India Awards and questioned the credibility of the newly announced event. @letsgrowesports broke the news on X, after Mortal reacted to the Krafton India Awards 2025 nominations during one of his live streams.

Mortal was left disappointed upon seeing the Krafton India Awards 2025 nominations and didn't hesitate to express his frustration. He said:

Mortal is known for being one of the most humble and gentle creators in the community. He avoids cursing, even during his relaxed streams. Recently, he lost his cool while reacting to the Krafton India Awards nominations. If the nominations upset even the most humble creators enough to curse at the management and their decisions, it is time to rethink the situation and understand the problem.

Mortal was particularly upset with the nomination of Aman, an S8UL creator with more than 1.06 million subscribers on YouTube, for the 'Rising Creator' award. He will be competing for votes along with other relatively smaller creators like Admino, ZGod, Mamba and Saumraj. Mortal was also left shocked when he couldn't find another S8UL creator, Joker, in the nominations at all.
