BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) is currently one of the most played games in India. The game developed by Krafton was first released in 2021. However, the Indian government banned it in 2022, citing security reasons. The game was officially relaunched in 2023 after a long hiatus. It currently has over 100 million downloads on the Play Store. BGMI can be played as a team, duo, or solo. It features various ranks that players need to climb to reach the top. Climbing the ranks is definitely not an easy task and can take an enormous amount of time.

To clinch matches, you need to use the best weapons, specifically assault rifles, to kill your enemies. Some of the best assault rifles you can use are the AKM, Beryl, Scar-L, M16, and AUG A3. The AKM and Beryl are the best choices for players who prioritize high damage. If you need low recoil and precision, the AUG A3 is a good choice. However, most players prefer the M16, and it is still the top choice because it is easy to use and has good adaptability.

BGMI Tier List

BGMI features a total of 10 tiers, and to reach each tier, you need to play ranked matches. The ranks start from Bronze and end with Conqueror, the highest rank in the game. Let’s find out all the BGMI ranks and the points required to reach them.

The 10 ranks featured in BGMI are, namely, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crown, Ace, Ace Master, Ace Dominator, and Conqueror.

Bronze Rank

The Bronze Rank is the lowest level in BGMI, and this is where new players start their journey and old players are placed after a season reset. At this rank, players get less competition, as it is designed to help the newbies learn game basics.

Difficulty Level: This tier is usually filled with new and inexperienced players, so the matches are often easier. Bronze Rank matches have AI bots most of the time, and make it easy for players to survive longer and kill. It is ideal for understanding strategies and practicing shooting, mobility, and map awareness. Losing matches doesn’t have much effect on your rank, so you can play the matches without any pressure.

Points Required in All Sub Ranks: The Bronze Rank has a total of 5 sub-ranks, from Bronze V to Bronze I. Each rank requires a certain number to advance further.

Rank Points Required
Bronze V1000-1099
Bronze IV 1100-1199
Bronze III1200-1299
Bronze II1300-1399
Bronze I1400-1500

Silver Rank

Silver Rank is the second-lowest tier in the ranking system. It also consists of five sub-ranks: Silver V to Silver 1. The difficulty level of this tier is also relatively low compared to the higher ranks, and the inexperienced players get a great chance to enhance their skills and improve.

Difficulty level: The difficulty level in Silver is moderate, as most players in this rank are still learning and improving. You will encounter both bots and real players in this rank. You’ll get real combat but not much higher. Newbies can work on their skills like map awareness, aiming, and looting. If you die early in a match, the penalty for your rank points will be less compared to higher ranks.

Points Required in All Sub Ranks:

The Gold Rank is a mid-level tier in BGMI’s ranking system. In this rank, you will start seeing players with better aiming skills.

Difficulty level: Gold rank is not that tough, as you’ll still find bots in the matches. However, real players become more frequent in this tier. As you move up to the higher sub-tiers of this rank, you will need better strategies and coordination. You must survive longer in the matches in order to claim the highest rank points. Improve your recoil control and map awareness, and try landing on mid-tier loot zones most, as it is much safer for longer survival.

Points Required in All Sub Ranks:

Rank Points Required
Gold V1700-1799
Gold IV1800-1899
Gold III1900-1999
Gold II2000-2099

Players need to earn points through kills, assists, and survival time in order to advance up to the next level.

Platinum Rank

The 4th rank in BGMI is Platinum, placed above Gold and below Diamond. This is the tier where matches begin getting more competitive, and you can’t just casually play, expecting a bot to come in front of you and give you an easy kill.

Difficulty level: Players in this rank are usually more experienced than those at lower levels. You will encounter players who will have better skills, movement, and team strategies. You’ll need tactical play in Platinum rank matches and strategies like zone control and flanking. Since many players start getting serious on this tier for their rank push, long survival and getting kill points become moderately tough. However, the skill level of players in Platinum lobbies might vary, as they can be from Gold, Platinum, or Diamond tiers. The Platinum tier is also divided into five subs. So let’s check out the points requirement to reach each tier.

Points Required in All Sub Ranks:

RankPoints Required
Platinum V2200-2299
Platinum IV2300-2399
Platinum III2400-2499
Platinum II2500-2599
Platinum I2600-2699
Platinum Rank Conditions

To move from Platinum to Diamond, you need to cross 2699 points.

Key Notes: In case you are inactive in the game, there is no decay in Platinum; however, losing a couple of matches constantly with low placement and no kills will lead to a deduction in your points.

Tier Protection: In this tier, events and crates contain rank protection cards, which will prevent you from losing points in poor matches.

Diamond Rank

The Diamond rank is a high-intermediate tier, and matches get more competitive. This level is also regarded as the beginning of high-tier play.

Difficulty level: This tier requires solid aiming and excellent skills, as you will face opponents who will have a good knowledge of maps, accuracy, and strategies. On this level, the number of bots will be minimal, so survival will be harder compared to the previous ranks.

Intense Zone Play: Late circles are frequently filled with skillful players who make good use of vehicles and utilities. Many players start using communication tools (in-game voice, Discord) and play in fixed squads for better coordination. Players with a rank-push mindset start grinding matches to advance to higher ranks. The Diamond tier is also divided into five subs. So let’s check out the points requirement to reach each tier.

Points Required in All Sub Ranks:

RankPoints Required
Diamond V2700-2799
Diamond IV2800-2899
Diamond III2900-2999

Key Notes: Your point gain is dependent on your performance. You must be placed in the top 10 and have a good number of kills for a significant number of points.

Loss Penalty: A poor match or early exit will cost you a hefty number of points.

Tier Protection: Although it will not be easy to earn tier protection cards, they will still be available.

Crown Rank

The Crown rank is positioned just below Ace and Conqueror. Climbing to this rank signifies that you are among the top players. Reaching higher ranks also means more competitive and intense matches.

Difficulty Level: You will find aggressive rank pushers in the matches, so you will need to increase your focus and avoid minor mistakes, as they can cost you 30-40 points. Make effective use of utilities like grenades, smokes, and Molotovs. Almost every player in these lobbies will be real, and some might also be semi-professionals.

Requires intense grind: This tier requires intense grind as the point gain per match is lower, and early elimination leads to heavier losses. The Crown tier is also divided into five sub-tiers. So let’s check out the points requirement to reach each tier.

Points Required in All Sub Ranks:

RankPoints Required
Crown V3200-3299
Crown IV3300-3399
Crown III3400-3499
Crown II3500-3599

To move from Crown to Ace, you need to cross 3699 points.

Key Notes: Early exits without any kills will cost you 30-40 points. Tier Protection cards will no longer be common and will not be offered at many events. Matchmaking will be brutal, so if you are on the higher end of Crown I, you’ll be paired with Ace and even Conqueror players.

Ace Rank

The Ace Rank is one of the highest tiers in the game. After you reach Ace, you’ll rank among the elite players of BGMI. Reaching an elite rank also means that every challenge will be harder, which requires consistency and skills.

Difficulty level: Be ready to encounter extremely talented and competitive players who are proficient in advanced mechanics and map control. You will find both semi-pro and pro players in this rank. You will only get small gains from wins until kills and placement are both high. While a poor match will cost you a lot of points. Early fights and poor rotations will lead to your quick exit. Correct use of utilities is crucial. Playing solo matches can be hard unless you are extremely skilled and confident, as team chemistry often decides match results.

Key Notes: In Ace and above, Tier protection cards do not work. Once you pass 4,700 points, you can join Conqueror, but you have to be in the top 500 players on your server. You will have to keep playing to maintain your rank at Conqueror because of daily resets and player swaps.

Conqueror

Conqueror Rank

It is the highest rank in BGMI a player can achieve in ranked mode. Only the best players on each server and mode are eligible for it. Only the top 500 players of a certain region and mode get the Conqueror title.

Difficulty Level: The difficulty level of Conqueror is extremely high because of tough competition, as there are thousands of accomplished players competing against you. You will have to be consistent, get kills, and rank in matches. One poor match can greatly impact your standings. It takes a lot of time and grinding to reach Conqueror. To advance rapidly, players often form squads and play for long hours.

When the leaderboards reset and there is less competition, it is easier to push for Conqueror. Late-season pushes are difficult because more players are already in the top 500 with established high scores. Every lobby in this rank is filled with highly skilled snipers, seasoned players, and even hackers, which makes every match a contest of skill.

How Are Points Calculated for Each Match in BGMI?

The ranking points you gain after each match in BGMI are determined by various parameters. A combination of survival, kills, damage, and overall performance is used to determine the ranking points. The following parameters determine your match ranking points:

  • Survival time: The longer you survive in a match, the more points you get. If you manage to survive in the top 10, this increases your chances of earning more points.
  • Kills: The more enemies you kill, the more your points increase. However, kills alone can’t compensate for early death. Killing high-ranked players may give you a few more points.
  • Damage: Even if you don’t get too many kills, dealing a lot of damage can give you great benefit. Assists for your teammates will also give you a decent number of points.
  • Final Team Ranking: Your placement in a match is one of the most important parameters in determining your points. If you or your team is ranked in 1st place, you will get a significant point boost. Dying early with many kills doesn’t give a huge point gain.
  • Contributions: Your contributions, like reviving teammates, using healing items, and assists, also determine your ranking points.
  • Current Rank: Your current ranks impact the point system. Players above ace can lose points even for the slightest underperformance. However, lower ranks don’t punish you much.
  • Match Type: The distribution of points varies depending on the mode. Squad mode earns you more points for survival and teamwork, while solo mode emphasizes your skill and survival.

Tips for Maximizing Points:

  • Do not rush to take early fights.
  • Revive teammates using healing supplies.
  • Play with coordination and survive longer.
  • Aim for kills in the mid-late game.
