Brawl Stars May 2026 Balance Changes Shakes Up the Meta With Major Nerfs and Buffs

Brawl Stars is set to roll out another set of balance changes ahead of the upcoming Brawl Cup event. Supercell recently confirmed there will be a Brawl Stars maintenance break in the upcoming days, and with this, we can expect a major shift in the meta, with the upcoming Brawl Stars Balance Changes.

This Brawl Stars update will mainly target Damian, who quickly became one of the most overpowered brawlers after release, while also addressing several other gameplay bugs reported by the community.

Brawl Stars May 2026 Nerfs: List of Brawlers That Got Weakened

The biggest set of nerfs in this Brawl Stars Balance Changes May 2026 hits Damian. Since his launch, players have complained about his damage output, supercharge rate, and ability to disrupt other brawlers' attacks. Here are all the Damian nerfs confirmed for the May 2026 patch:

• Super Charge rate reduced from 75 to 60
• The main attack, Super Charge, from the explosion was greatly reduced
• Fire Punch damage reduced from 1200 to 1000
• Arena damage reduced from 5 to 3

With these Brawl Stars balance changes, we can expect him not to be as overpowered as before. While he will likely still remain a strong brawler, players may no longer be using him as an easy win option.

Sirius's Health reduced from 3700 to 3400. This is the 2nd time Sirius has been nerfed after his release. Despite being nerfed heavily in the last update, players still found it hard to counter him.

Brawl Stars May 2026 Buffs: Major Highlights

Although Damian received several nerfs, Supercell also included a few buffs to make him more balanced. The following buffs are coming to Damian:

• Hypercharge rate increased from 20 to 35
• The main attack explosion timing increased by 100%

The Hypercharge buff and the increase in explosion timing should help players to keep applying pressure with Damian.

Brawl Stars May 2026 Bug Fixes

Some of the major bug fixes include:

• Glowy’s Super does not go missing when being thrown after a main attack
• Meg’s Mecha health now resets correctly
• R-T doesn't double-damage anymore when marking both head and legs
• Colette’s Star Power "Mass Tax" shield doesn't persist after being defeated
• Using the Gadget before Starr Nova's transformation doesn't cause an issue
• Kit doesn't teleport incorrectly after detaching from allies
• Bibi and Frank don't trigger 3 hits with 1 ammo when Hypercharge is active
• Meeple no longer has infinite Gadget attacks with Starr Nova Juju transformation
