Supercell Disables Colette Temporarily Due a Recent Brawl Stars Bug

Brawl Stars has temporarily disabled Colette after a major bug surfaced following the latest update. Supercell confirmed the move via its official X account, stating a fix is planned during Tuesday's upcoming maintenance.

The issue concerns the Brawl Stars Colette Star Buffie bug, which unintentionally created a game-breaking exploit. Players discovered that using her Super ability against certain walls could trigger a permanent shield effect, resulting in complete damage immunity, making Colette unbeatable during matches.

Brawl Stars Colette Bug Quickly Disrupts Gameplay Balance

The glitch was spotted immediately by players, with many taking advantage of the exploit to gain easy wins and push trophies. Due to Colette's Star Buffie being active, players had no way to counter her, leading to heavily one-sided games.

For competitive modes, especially, this created a frustrating experience for players. And interestingly enough, this is not the first time a brawler has been pulled out by Supercell due to an unwanted glitch.

The Community Hasn't Been Silent in Showcasing Its Frustration

The community's response has been mixed, but largely critical. While many players agreed that disabling Colette was the right call, there has been noticeable frustration over how long it took for action to be taken.“Took you 4 days to disable a brawler?” one user wrote.

“Great, next time do this early. Took long enough,” another wrote. There are also calls for compensation, with players asking for free rewards to make up for disrupted gameplay. “Just give us our 2-star drop compensation already,” one wrote.

And players have gone as far as to claim this as the worst update ever, with the Brawl Stars Oddities shop bug and the Ultra Trophy Box Brawl Stars bug being reported already, and a maintenance is announced later this week. Others have used this moment to highlight broader concerns with the update, including multiple bugs and balance issues affecting other brawlers.

The recent update introduced the highly anticipated 102nd brawler, Damian, and as expected, he is highly overpowered from the start. With the upcoming maintenance, Supercell has confirmed to fix the Brawl Stars Colette bug, following which, the brawler is expected to return to normal play.
