So, Brawl Stars players, we are back at Maintenance Day! If you were playing your Ranked game with Cosmo or grinding for his boxes and were logged out abruptly, no worries; you didn't receive an account ban! Supercell has recently announced a Brawl Stars Maintenance Break 16 September, with the latest September 2026 Balance Changes coming today!

The developers have already informed via their official social media accounts, although no specific maintenance downtime was mentioned. Given that the maintenance is mostly centered around introducing the new Brawl Stars Balance Changes, the break could last significantly shorter than usual updates due to a lack of new content and characters midseason.

How Long Will Brawl Stars Server Status Remain Down Today?

As discussed above, Supercell posted the following tweet via its X (formerly Twitter account, confirming today's Maintenance Break will bring the Brawl Stars September Balance Changes. Given it's a mid-season maintenance, the update is expected to be a shorter one, with a downtime of a maximum of 2 hours.

What Changes Are Coming After Today's Brawl Stars Maintenance Break?

Given the timing of the maintenance and its supposed duration, no new additional or recurring content is expected to arrive besides the Brawl Stars Balance Changes September 2026. And while it may seem like a shorter patch, make no mistake as long list of Balance Changes is incoming with this update!

Starting with the Nerfs, several Brawlers are getting important nerfs, including Shade, Gus, El Primo, Amber, Nori, Wendy, Meg, Colette, and Brock. Nori and Wendy, being relatively new Brawlers, are receiving their first nerfs after being introduced recently.

Coming to the Buffs, there's a roster of changes there as well, given that Poco, Chuck, Ollie, Trunk, Willow, Juju, Pam, Belle, and R-T are getting heavy buffs. Surprisingly, Cosmo, the newest Brawler, isn't receiving any significant changes with this update.
