Brawl Stars Prestige System Guide: How the New Trophy Progression Works

4 min
Brawl Stars Prestige Update

Summary

  • The Brawl Stars Prestige update introduces permanent trophy milestones and tier-based progression.
  • Players now unlock structured rewards and exclusive titles through the new Prestige ladder.
  • Competitive matches become stricter at higher tiers with skill-based matchmaking.

Brawl Stars is going through a big change with the arrival of the Brawl Stars Prestige update. The new system changes how trophies work, eliminates the need for repeated seasonal drops in higher ranks, and allows players to progress based on milestones that are Brawler-specific.

High-Trophy Brawlers Reset When Update Activation Occurs

Once the Brawl Stars update goes live at the end of the current trophy season, any Brawler that has more than 1,000 trophies will be set back to exactly 1,000 trophies. After this reset occurs, trophies will no longer drop below key Prestige milestones. Once a Brawler reaches over 1,000 trophies, Prestige 1 is awarded automatically. This change stops the regular trophy resets that many players were used to.

Milestone Rewards Between 0 and 1,000 Trophies

At 250 trophies, a profile icon and a spray are earned. At 500 trophies, a pin set reward is unlocked. At 750 trophies, a 29-gem skin is earned. Finally, at 1,000 trophies, a Gold Prestige title and Prestige 1 are unlocked.

Faster Climb Before Prestige 1

Regular wins now reward 10 trophies instead of eight. Streaks reward further trophies, and special events can further increase trophies. During losing streaks, bot matches may also appear to aid in stabilizing trophies. This update also brings fun, limited-time content like the Brawl Stars April Fool Special Game Mode, so players can enjoy both serious competition and casual fun.

Prestige 1 Establishes a Permanent Trophy Floor

Once you reach Prestige 1 at 1000 trophies, you have created a hard floor, and there will be no way for you to go below it. All trophies earned after this point will be considered Brawl Stars Prestige Trophies, but they will still count as regular trophies towards Trophy Road status. There will continue to be options to play Bot Games, earn Win Streak rewards, and earn Underdog bonus trophies at the Prestige 1 level.

Prestige 2 Establishes Tougher Requirements

At 2,000 trophies, the next Prestige level, Prestige 2, is unlocked. This rewards a new badge and profile icon. Like Prestige 1, there is a permanent trophy floor at 2,000 trophies after reaching this level. But after this level, the requirements become tougher. Win streak rewards are removed. Bot games will no longer appear. Underdog trophy rewards are also gone. Matchmaking also changes to rely on a Brawler-specific hidden rating instead of overall account trophies.

Prestige 3 Unlocks Exclusive Neon Titles

Prestige 3 also unlocks further cosmetic rewards. Players earn a golden Prestige badge and an exclusive Neon title for each Brawler. These titles are equivalent to high-level indicators, such as the older Rank 35 rewards.

Account progress is shown through Prestige Battle Cards

Cumulative Prestige earned using various Brawlers allows players to upgrade battle cards. The first Prestige rewards a basic card. After 25 Prestiges, an improved card is earned. With 50 Prestiges, a premium animated card is acquired. The Brawl Stars Prestige battle card shows the accumulated Prestige value on player accounts and in pre-match introductions.

Players should also keep an eye on Brawl Stars Server Maintenance, as major system changes like Prestige updates are typically activated once servers are back online.
