This One Reason Has Curbed The Chances of a Brawl Stars x Sonic Collaboration

Brawl Stars General Manager Frank Keienburg has dropped a massive bombshell about a highly anticipated collaboration. Since the beginning of the year, there has been a lot of chatter around Supercell partnering with SEGA in one of the biggest collaborations in mobile gaming. Several leaks surfaced online claiming a Brawl Stars x Sonic collaboration was already in the works. Keienburg, however, has clarified that there's still some doubt around a SEGA partnership for Brawl Stars.

Is a Brawl Stars x Sonic Collaboration Happening?

A recent post from a popular creator @BrawlNetworkX revealed what Frank Keienburg had to say about the anticipated Brawl Stars Sonic collaboration. The General Manager claimed that Squad Busters might be the reason that puts an end to a potential SEGA partnership for Brawl Stars.

“However, with Sonic showing up in Squad [Busters], I am not sure how appetite there would be for Brawl [Stars] - and how much it fits compared to other things we could do,” Frank said, as per BrawlNetworkX. The statement was revealed on X (formerly Twitter) at 7:40 pm IST or 5:10 MSK/TRT.

What Does Frank Keienburg's Statement Mean?

While Frank Keienburg has shared his doubts about a new partnership with SEGA for Sonic, a future Brawl Stars x Sonic collaboration is certainly not off the cards. His concern for now is that since Sonic has already partnered with one Supercell title, Squad Busters, he doesn't see a reason for Brawl Stars to be in the picture. Keienburg was not sure if there would be an ‘appetite’ for another Supercell title.
