COD Mobile creator ecosystem India

Summary

  • Activision put a huge amount into the CODM Creators event, but no Indian creators received an invite.
  • The Indian community have raised serious questions against the agencies.
  • Some of the creators also explained the poor monetary system in the Indian ecosystem.

A recent controversy has caught everyone's attention, especially in the COD Mobile community. This time, the centre of attention is the COD Mobile creator ecosystem India. The debate sparked after an X post by @sweatsden, in which the user questioned, “While Activision has put a huge amount of money ($80,000 USD) into the COD Mobile creator events in the first three months, why haven't any Indian creators been invited to them?”

While Activision hosted the DMZ launch event without a prize pool, the Indian creators were the top performers. The developers, however, didn't invite them when there was money on the line. This article will explain a bit about what it means for the COD Mobile creator ecosystem India.

Why the Indian Creator Didn't Get the Invite in Recent CODM Creator Events

While @sweatsden has questioned the Agencies and the developers about the lack of invitation towards the Indian creators, two prominent names, @BoomtheGrinder and @Real2Noob4uYT, have come up. For those who follow the COD Mobile scene from the start know how popular the creators are. They've been making content related to the FPS since the beginning. Moreover, they've already been a part of several events hosted by agencies. Now, the question arises, why has it stopped now? That's where the CODM creator controversy lies.

While it's quite evident that Activision has put a lump sum of money into the COD Mobile creator tournaments, why are they ignoring the Indian creators? Well, there has been no official response from the agencies or the developers.

Amidst this sea of questions, Bobby Buckets, another popular personality in the COD mobile community, has come up with his share of reasons.

According to him, both the Indian creators mentioned above have no competitive experience.

Meanwhile, fellow creators, such as Nadeshot, Vague, Aerith, Space, and others, have some experience. On the other hand, he has also mentioned that Indian creators will certainly have a disadvantage against Western creators.

Another creator, @raiderCODM, made a controversial comment, specifically targeted towards @BoomtheGrinder. They mentioned there's a huge skill gap between the specific creator and other Western stars.

Considering the performance of these Indian creators over the years, these shouldn't be fair points for not inviting them. This certainly raised a huge controversy amidst the Indian CODM community.

The CODM Community Questioned The Monetary Support System

While the issue regarding a lack of invitation is seriously concerning for the Indian community, another question has come to light. The prominent creator @Real2Noob4uYT has made a YouTube video on this issue and made a legit point about the monetary support system. He isn't blaming any specific agencies or even the developers for the lack of invitation for the Indian creators. The real question lies in the growth opportunities of this region.

According to the creator, it's been almost five to six years since the game became popular in the Indian subcontinent. Even after that, the Indian CODM ecosystem doesn't have the same level of monetary support as the other regions. The developers have deliberately ignored this region and failed to provide the same perks, access, and other things.

While the global creators club have better monetary support over the years, which includes sponsored tweets, better event integration, special packages, gear drops, broader early access system, and much more.

We've seen how games like PUBG Mobile and Free Fire developers have integrated a better ecosystem in India, and fans are quite satisfied with the efforts. Therefore, the main question is, why hasn't Activision done the same, even in 2026?

It's quite evident that the core reason for this controversy is way beyond the recent CODM creator controversy. It's not about a single place in a $10,000 tournament anymore. It's all about implementing better opportunities for the region. It's surely a wake-up call for Activision, and they're likely to act upon it.
