Switch fans can finally see their dream come true as Call of Duty on Nintendo Switch might actually be possible. For context, tech giants Microsoft and Nintendo signed a 10-year agreement to bring all COD titles to the handheld device. However, that was almost three years ago. Recently, several data miners have found an array of code related to the COD launcher. And guess what? Nintendo's name is mentioned there.

Even though nothing has been confirmed officially, the code in context is related to the in-game currencies and microtransactions. On that note, let's delve into everything we know regarding Call of Duty Nintendo Switch leaks.

Call of Duty on Nintendo Switch: Is CoD coming to Switch?

Everything started around 2022, as Nintendo and Microsoft had a deal that emphasized a 10-year agreement where the handheld device was supposed to receive all CoD games on its platform. However, according to popular beliefs, the hardware wasn't compatible enough as compared to its counterparts (PS and Xbox) to run the hardcore titles. New-gen gamers might think of this as a fair and square phenomenon.

Even though the FPS action series is much more synonymous with Xbox and PlayStation consoles, there was a time when CoD titles were a regular part of Nintendo. Nintendo Wii started the journey with Call of Duty 3, and the trend lasted for almost seven years. CoD: Ghosts in 2013 was the last title that appeared on the Nintendo platforms.

A recent X post from @realityuk has showcased a code snippet on the Call of Duty update platform, mentioning “NINTENDO”. Apart from that, other launchers, such as SONY, STEAM, UBICONNECT, and others, were also there. Moreover, Jez Corder, a renowned podcaster of XB2, has also said:

“The first CoD Switch version is nearly done and launching in a few months” on X.

All this suggests the arrival of CoD titles, especially Black Ops 7 on Nintendo Switch 2. It'll be interesting to see a comeback of the long-lost FPS title on the handheld device.
