After the last Clash of Clans balance changes on January 12, 2026, many fans were unhappy that their favourite troop, Meteor Golem, was nerfed. Others were satisfied that many troops and buildings got some well-deserved buffs. The developers soon announced that major Clash of Clans ranked changes were coming for the February 2026 season.

This new Clash of Clans balance update focuses on implementing those ranked changes, along with buffing and nerfing many units. Here is a full rundown of all the changes this new update has in store for us:

Defensive Changes

The new Clash of Clans balance changes makes these following changes to defensive buildings, heavily nerfing the ricochet and multi-archer cannons along with other defensive units:

  • Ricochet Cannon: Bounce shot damage reduced from 100% to 70%. Bounce shot radius reduced from 4.5 to 3.5 tiles.
  • Multi Archer Cannon: Attack speed reduced from 500ms to 600ms.
  • Revenge Tower (TH18): Attack speed reduced from 300ms to 350ms. Stage activation requirement increased to 25 destroyed buildings (Stage 3) and 50 destroyed buildings (Stage 4).
  • Multi Gear Tower: Nerfed the damage of short range mode by 10.6% and buffed the damage of long range mode by 15%.
  • Builder Hut: Movement speed reduced from 28 to 20.

Troop Changes

The new Clash of Clans balance changes buffed many troops, nerfing only the Meteor Golem troop.

  • Super Archer (Levels 10 -13): Gradual HP increase buffed to 9.7% from 2.7%.
  • Super Wizard (Levels 9 - 14): HP increased significantly from 21% to 41%.
  • Thrower (Levels 1 - 4): HP increased by 4%, DPS increased by 4.5%, and movement speed increased from 16 to 18.
  • E-Titan (Level 4): HP increased to 8700 from 8400.
  • Super Minion (All levels): Long-range shots increased from 7 to 8, along with increasing their range from 10 to 10.25 tiles.
  • Poison Lizard (All levels): Attack range increased from 3.5 to 4.5 tiles, along with HP increased across all levels from 10% to 21%.
  • Meteor Golem (All levels): HP reduced by 13-16% and DPS reduced by 14-16% across all levels.
  • Giant Giant: The Giant saw no changes, but it will now be less prioritised by the Warden and the Eagle.

Equipment Changes

Regarding Clash of Clans equipment, two of them got significant buffs. Here is a list of all the changes:

  • MP Noble Iron (All levels): Range, shot count, and attack speed increased.
  • BK Giant Gauntlets (All levels): Damage reduction and duration have been increased.

Clash of Clans Ranked Changes: All League Modifiers Explained

The biggest change all the new Clash of Clans balance changes made was to league modifiers in the ranked game mode, which affect all defence buildings and offensive troops. However, no equipment modifiers were changed. These changes are as follows:

Legend League

  • Defence DPS: Reduced to 15% from 20%.
  • Defence Heroes: Reduced to 15% from 20%.
  • Offence Heroes: Reduced to 5% from 10%.

Masters League (E33)

  • Defence DPS: Reduced to 10% from 14%.
  • Defence Heroes: Reduced to 10% from 14%.
  • Offence Heroes: Reduced to 0% from 6%.

Expert League (E32)

  • Defence DPS: Reduced to 5% from 7%.
  • Defence Heroes: Reduced to 5% from 7%.
  • Offence Heroes: Reduced to 0% from 3%.
