Clash of Clans Dragon Duke Guide: Here's How to Use the New CoC Hero

After multiple social media posts teasing the arrival of the next hero in Clash of Clans, Supercell finally introduced the Dragon Duke to the Village Chiefs. While the new hero can now be seen in the Hero halls of every village, Dragon Duke will be playable after its arrival in March, following the conclusion of the Clash of Clans Unleash the Duke Community Event. In our Clash of Clans Dragon Duke guide, we will take a look at the equipment, abilities, and other details of the sixth hero.

Clash of Clans Dragon Duke Guide: Gameplay Overview

The Dragon Duke comes as a melee hero and attacks every target within its short range. The game's sixth hero takes on its targets by slashing and breathing fire. The CoC Dragon Duke will be available from Town Hall 15 and Level 9 Hero Hall. Do note that the Dragon Duke will be an aerial hero. Hence its free from ground defenses during attacks, and ground troops during defense.

Supercell also announced CoC Dragon Duke as a hero works best when fighting alone. When deployed, and with no other friendly troops in its range, the troop becomes enraged, granting itself a boost for its attack and defense, similar to how the Baby Dragon operates in the game.

Please note that when the hero is enraged, the damage is increased by 100%. Moreover, the attack speed is also increased by 50%, and trap damage is reduced by half.

Also note that, similar to friendly troops, the hero pets also refrain the Dragon Duke from being enraged during deployment. However, on pairing the new CoC pet Greedy Raven with the Dragon Duke, the new Hero will continue to receive the Royal Rampage boost. This happens as Aerial pets, when paired with the Dragon Duke, do not affect its enraged boost. However, when you use Sneezy, the boogers from the pet will cause the Dragon Duke to lose its enraged boosts. Given how much value you can get out of the Dragon Duke by deploying it solo, you should pair it up with a Totem Spell to clear ¼ of the base.

Clash of Clans Dragon Duke Abilities

Before we talk about the abilities in our Clash of Clans Dragon Duke guide, let's talk about the basics. The movement speed of the hero is 2.5/tiles, and the attack speed is 1.2 seconds. The CoC Dragon Duke targets both the ground and air troops/defenses.

Both resource and non-resource buildings are targeted if they are in the range of 1.25 tiles. While the hero has 9,100 hitpoints in level 1, by the time it is maxed out for town hall 15, it will have 9,775 hitpoints. The DPS also increases from 304 to 340.

Let's take a look at all the maximum Clash of Clans Dragon Duke abilities for each town hall:

As of now, the CoC Dragon Duke can be upgraded to level 25 maximum. However, to get to that level, players need to spend a hefty amount of dark elixir. Please note that, as per reliable sources, after the release of Dragon Duke, all players will be able to use it to its max level (for the respective town hall) for a week.

Clash of Clans Dragon Duke Equipments

In our Clash of Clans Dragon Duke Community Event, we introduced you to the pieces of equipment that are coming with the new hero. Now, we will take a detailed look at the Clash of Clans Dragon Duke equipment:

• First, we have the Fire Heart. This passive ability regenerates the health of the hero, and when the hero falls, it bursts into damaging flames.

• Flame Blower is another common piece of equipment of the CoC Dragon Duke. It allows the hero to blow fire in a wider range that takes out the defenses and incoming enemies.

• Stun Blaster is a common equipment for CoC Dragon Duke that blasts a shockwave that damages and stuns the nearby enemies and buildings.

• The Rocket Backpack is the epic ability that was announced separately. It helps the hero dash across the center of the village while avoiding attacks and breathing fire.

These are all the Clash of Clans Dragon Duke equipment details. Please note that the Fire Heart and the Flame Blower are the common equipment that will come with the hero once you unlock them. Both of these will be upgraded to level 18 max. The Stun Blaster is unlocked in Town Hall 16.
