Best Clash Royale Log Bait Decks You Should Use

Log Bait decks in Clash Royale rely on one simple strategy: use cheap units to bait out enemy counter spells that otherwise can spell doom for your other units. Once you trick your opponent into falling for your trap, you can then unleash your other units to build up an attack and overwhelm enemy defenses. As such, these decks often make the list of the best Clash Royale meta decks.

However, most of these decks play pretty safe, relying on solidifying your defense with buildings before committing to an attack. As such, you should start each game defensively so that you can gauge what cards your enemy has in their deck and respond accordingly. Once you have a good grasp of what deck and strategies they are using, only then should you start planning your attacks.

1. Classic Log Bait

In this deck, your objective is to bait out spells like Log, Zap, and Arrows by first playing one of these three troops: Princess, Goblin Gang, or Goblin Barrel. If your opponent does use a spell, you can then quickly summon your other troops, as your opponent will probably have no spells to counter them. Rocket is a great spell to play now since it can directly damage enemy towers or decimate a group of their attacking troops.

Since almost all Clash Royale best Log bait decks take a more defensive approach, the Inferno Tower and the Evolved Knight will do the job perfectly. Ice Spirit and Log are also great options to take out enemy Goblin Barrels if your opponent also uses a Log Bait deck.

2. Classic Hyper Bait

While Log Bait decks in Clash Royale have stood the test of time for quite a few years, a new and more aggressive variant called “Hyperbait Decks” has also become popular. This deck ditches the slower and more defensive approach of a standard Log Bait deck to become more offensive. As such, this deck goes all out on aggression, with every troop being able to bait out enemy spells and deal damage to towers quickly.

As such, this deck uses Evolved Wall Breakers and Dart Goblins as the primary form of offense, with support from troops like Suspicious Bush and Spear Goblins. While the Knight typically served as the tank of Log Bait decks, here you use the Boss Bandit in his stead as both a defensive and offensive unit to compensate for the lack of a building. Both Fire and Ice Spirits along with the Log are also great defensive options. However, do beware of some of the best Hero Wizard decks in Clash Royale.

3. SkeleKing Hyper Bait

This is one of my favorite Clash Royale best Log bait decks to use in ranked matches. While you still bait our spells with the Evolved Wall Breakers and Skeleton Barrels, you also have the Skeleton King as your main game-changing trump card and tank. Since most troops in this deck will die quickly, it will help you easily fill up the Skeleton King's meter and help you summon more skeletons using his Champion ability once it gets close to enemy towers.

Support him using Dart Goblins and another round of either Wall Breakers or Skeleton Barrels, which are best used when enemy towers and defenders struggle to deal with the Skeleton King and his army. This leads to quick tower destruction, granting you a swift victory in no time. Use Ice Spirit, Skeletons, and Log solely for defense. With such a powerful offensive potential, you will understand why the Evolved Skeleton Barrel is one of the best Clash Royale Evolution cards this season.

4. HeroGobs EvoGhost Bait

This is one of the best Clash Royale Log Bait decks because of its varied use of card combos and strategies. Like other decks on this list, it still relies on baiting enemy spells using troops like Skeleton Barrel, Hero Goblin, and Dart Goblin. However, the former two can easily overwhelm enemy defenses if used at the right time. You can activate the Hero Goblins Banner Brigade ability when no defenders are around to sneak in an unsuspecting tower attack, making this one of the best Clash Royale Hero Goblins decks.

The Suspicious Bush and the Evolved Royal Ghost can put a lot of pressure on enemy defenders, which is exactly what you should do along with the Dart Goblin as their primary supporter. You should use Rascals for defense, who can then survive and go push the bridge, where you can follow them up with more Skeleton Barrels. Use the Rocket to take care of enemy pushes and also directly target enemy towers, with your Log being a defensive spell.

5. EvoMortar Cart HeroGobs Bait

The final deck in this list of Clash Royale best Log Bait decks is a variation of the previous deck on this list. This deck uses two powerful defensive buildings: the Mortar Evolution and the Cannon Cart. You can place the former near the central river to shoot boulders or goblins at enemy towers. The Cannon Cart can be used to great effect defensively, also being able to attack and drop a cannon near enemy towers that directly attack them.

While the Evolved Skeleton Barrel and the Hero Goblins play their respective roles as baiters perfectly, the Rascals are great tanks that can help them out even more.
