Clash Royale Final Balance Changes Siege & Swish Season

Summary

  • The May 2026 update introduces major reworks for the Electro Giant and Giant Skeleton to balance offensive power and tower damage.
  • Key nerfs target the Spirit Empress, Dark Prince, and Evolved Tesla to shift the meta away from defensive and air-dominant strategies.

Supercell has finally announced the Clash Royale Final Balance Changes for May 2026, bringing a major shift in the in-game meta. The final changes for Season 83, Siege & Swish, are now live after a period of testing and community feedback on the initial work-in-progress changes

This update focuses on nerfing some of the most powerful cards while giving some heavy tanks a much-needed update. Multiple major cards have been updated after the final Clash Royale Siege & Swish Balance Changes.

Clash Royale Siege & Swish Balance Changes: Key Features

Multiple meta Hero cards and Evolutions have been the major focus of the final Clash Royale Season 83 Balance Changes. Both Dark Prince and the Hero Barbarian Barrel have been nerfed in terms of their overall effectiveness. The developers have reduced The Dark Prince's hit speed by 0.1 seconds, which they hope would lessen his efficacy without undermining his reputation as a flexible bridge-spam card.

The Spirit Empress has received a major hit, with her ground hit points decreasing by 3%, and all her air hit points decreasing by 5%. Players have complained previously about the Spirit Empress rolling through defences when partnered with Lava Hound, creating a menace in the attack.

Cards, including the Evolved Tesla, will be nerfed to keep their power level in line with other defensive structures. To ensure these win conditions don't offer too much value, the Evolved Royal Hogs and Evolved Goblin Drill are also being scaled back. Clash Royale Season 83 Balance Changes Giant Reworks

Finally, some good news for heavy units. The Electro Giant and Giant Skeleton have undergone significant modifications as part of the Clash Royale Siege & Swish Balance Changes. The following are the balance changes made in Giants:

  • The Electro Giant is becoming much more dangerous while attacking, thanks to a massive 17% hit speed boost and a decrease in first hit time. However, his reflected tower damage is being lowered by 24% to counteract this aggression.
  • The Giant Skeleton's collision radius is being reduced by 25%, and his death damage is being boosted, but his tower damage is being capped to avoid making him a one-shot game ender.

The initial Clash Royale Balance Changes May 2026 introduced by Supercell gave up a lot of information, but the final few tweaks were very surprising. Players will need to modify their old decks and strategies to take these significant changes into consideration once the season starts.
