What are Trade Tokens in Clash Royale?

As the name suggests, Trade Tokens in Clash Royale are special items that you can use to trade cards with the Trader. The Trader appears in two places - the Shop (occasionally) and the top-left corner of the Clan War screen (if you are in a Clan) after you reach King Level 16. Whenever the Trader appears, you will get to choose from three random cards that you can get.

These cards will always be of a specific rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary). If you want these cards, you must use a Trade Token of that rarity and give away other specified random cards of the same rarity that you own. For example, let's say the Trader has three cards - Minions, Royal Giant, and Berserker (all Common).

If you want these cards, you must give away Barbarians, Skeleton Dragons, or Spear Goblins. To make a trade, select the card you want and the card you wish to give. For example, you must have two copies of a Legendary Card so that you can give away one, 11 copies of Epic Cards, and so on. Also, you can carry a maximum of 10 Trade Tokens of a specific rarity at a time. If you get more, they will be converted into Gold.

Can I Trade Maxed-out Cards for Trade Tokens in Clash Royale?

Yes, it's possible to give cards that you have maxed out (level 16) during a trade. However, since you no longer have additional copies of the card, you must give Gold in Clash Royale equivalent to its rarity. The rates here are:

• Common: 1,250 Gold
• Rare: 1,250 Gold
• Epic: 1,000 Gold
• Legendary: 7,500 Gold
