Valve has just rolled out a major CS2 update in the form of a patch, and this one is going to affect the way matches play out on some of the game's most legendary maps. If you played the game today, you must have noticed the CS2 Patch Notes March 5 2026. It brings some major updates you need to be aware of before you head into your next rank match. Although there have been some quality-of-life changes, the biggest one has to be the CS2 Inferno graveyard update.

New CS2 Update Brings Changes to Inferno’s Bombsite A

The A-site on Inferno, one of the more iconic CS2 maps, is a key area that players have complained about. The biggest difference here is that the Graveyard area is now closed off. The hiding spot for defenders is no longer available to catch attackers off guard. The CTs have to rethink their entire site hold here.

Alongside the CS2 Inferno graveyard update, Valve has added a new extension to the A Site's balcony. The balcony leading out of the apartments has been extended quite a bit. This replaces the previous overhang structure. This creates a whole new spot for attacking T’s to utilise during an execution on the site.

Some Other Games Fixes

Outside of Inferno, this update brings a great feature for all skin enthusiasts out there:

Items that are listed in the Steam Community Market can now be used in-game. You no longer have to stop playing with your favorite items just because they are being sold.
Your items will stay in your inventory and stay equipped until you decide to sell them. The only thing you cannot do is modify or use items sold in Trade-Ups.
Lastly, the update includes some miscellaneous fixes, including smoother clipping on Alt Mid on Inferno and an adorable fix for the chicken animation bug.
