CS2 Workshop Update: Everything You Should Know

Valve just dropped the new CS2 Workshop Update on December 6, 2025. This update introduces new supplemental terms that will help developers license community creations for free. They have revamped the prices for new weapon finishes, stockers, and charms with this update.

CS2 Workshop Update December 2025: What's New?

The CS2 Workshop has been one of the best things Counter-Strike 2 has created for the community. This workshop allows people to submit custom content for the game. This ranges from new custom maps, weapon skins, charms, and stickers. Players are also allowed to rate them and submit feedback. In the end, the highest-rated creations will get a chance to be officially introduced in the game.

New Terms and Rates

Valve introduced new supplemental terms that changed how creators will get paid with the latest CS2 Workshop Update. With this update, CS2 creators will be paid a flat fee based on the type of content that gets introduced in the game. If you accept these new terms, your Workshop items will now start appearing in the Armory, a feature long requested by the community.

The rates for new custom creations are as follows:

• Stickers: $5,000
• Charms: $6,000
• Weapon skin: $35,000

New Calls to Arms

To commemorate the launch of a future update, the developers are requesting the community to create and submit new weapon skins based on two distinct themes:

• Spy Tech
• Arabian Mythology & Arabesque Designs

In addition, the team wants you to come up with new sticker ideas based on:

• Fruits and Vegetables
• Automobile Racing

Dr Boom Charm Model Release

Players can now try out the new CS2 Dr Boom Charm Model. You can paint it and submit your creation for a chance to be featured in future updates introducing new charm collections.

New Paint Kit

The December CS2 Workshop Update also added a new Paint Kit, the Custom Paint Job Extended. This kit includes new options that allow the use of new effects like iridescence and more.

How to Submit New Artwork for the New CS2 Workshop Update?

To submit new weapon finishes and stickers that match these themes, you must use the Enlist option in the Calls to Arms section. Once you click it, please select the appropriate themes before submitting them.

New CS2 Workshop Creation Rates Lower Than Before

The new fixed rates for CS2 custom skins and stickers seem to be much lower than before. Previously, a user reported on a live stream of Ohnoepixel that many designers made around $420,000 or more from new weapon skins being accepted through this program. This is why many players think the value of CS2 skins and cosmetics will be reduced even more following the recent CS2 skin trade-up update, which crashed the marketplace.
