Everyone's favourite urban fantasy RPG, Studiobside's CounterSide, has recently published some shocking news. A recent post from the studio about Counterside Shutdown announced has caught the community off guard. The officials have confirmed that the title will conclude its live service on August 26, 2026. It means that Cafe Sterga will raise its curtains in about a couple of months.

This, however, isn't the end for the Studio, as they've promised to bring a reboot version of it in future. On that note, let's take a look at everything we have on Counterside End of Service and its future plans.

The Urban Fantasy RPG Faces Its End, But a New Chapter Awaits

After six long years, everyone's favourite RPG with Live2D artwork will bid farewell to its fans. A story-rich free-to-play gacha game will end its service on August 26, 2026. Those who were following the overall content updates of the game have already predicted something like this. Ever since Hyunsoo Kim stepped down as the Head Producer of the title, all signs have been pointing to this unfortunate incident.

And the recent official post from the studio's CEO has confirmed that customer support will end in September. It certainly disappointed a whole bunch of players of the gacha. When people took it up to the official r/gachagaming subreddit, several fans commented on this.
