It's been two years since we lost Akira Toriyama; yet his iconic vision and legacy lives on amongst fans. Yes, exactly, we are talking about the fan-favourite Dragon Ball universe, as a new title, Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000 announced. The title was unveiled during the franchise's 40th anniversary celebration, Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri 2026.

Bandai Namco just dropped a bomb by officially revealing the future of the Dragon Ball new game project. While the original Dragon Ball era begins in 749, this new title is set to explore Age 1000, a new and broader era, featuring new characters and a storyline.

Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000 Announced: DB takes a timejump to 216 years

As the Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000 announced, we can tell that the new story is set 216 years after the Dragon Ball Z era. Even though no gameplay video has been released, the two-minute teaser from Bandai Namco Entertainment was enough to excite Dragon Ball fans worldwide. The teaser introduced a silver-haired character, designed by none other than Toriyama himself.

The silver-haired protagonist really stole the show, and we also got a glimpse of Goku, confirming that this character is expected to be some descendant of Goku. More info will be released during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, on April 18-19, in California.

It seems that Future Trunks has travelled to the future and recruited new members for Time Patrol to stop the dark empire, which reminds us of the Dragon Ball Online series. Even though no official information is available for the New Dragon Ball Game Project AGE 1000 gameplay, all eyes will be on April 2026.

Dragon Ball Game Project AGE 1000 Release Date: Full Details to be revealed in April 2026

The Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event has been happening for almost six years, and this year (2026) will bring a fresh start for fans. As per Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri, more details on the new game project will be unveiled at the DBGBH event on April 18-19, 2026, with Dragon Ball Game Project AGE 1000 set for a global release in 2027.

As a Dragon Ball fan myself, I'm quite excited and looking forward to receiving more information on this.
