Fortnite VBucks Price Change Announced: New Pack Values and Battle Pass Update Explained

Fortnite developer Epic Games has officially announced a major change to its in-game economy, confirming a Fortnite VBucks price adjustment that will take effect on March 19, 2026. The company attributed the change mainly to the rising costs of maintaining the large game ecosystem. Even though the real-world prices of currency packs remain unchanged, the quantity of in-game currency players will get is decreased.

Changes to Fortnite VBucks price

After the price changes to Fortnite VBucks, users will receive a smaller number of VBucks for the same payment. This means that the price of virtual goods bought via gaming currency will be raised. Here is the new price list set forth:

• $8.99 Pack: 800 V, Bucks (predecessor 1, 000)
• $22.99 Pack: 2, 400 V, Bucks (predecessor 2, 800)
• $36.99 Pack: 4, 500 V, Bucks (predecessor 5, 000)
• $89.99 Pack: 12, 500 V, Bucks (predecessor 13, 500)

These changes set the Fortnite VBucks new prices, lowering payout value per purchase while the dollar price is kept unchanged.

The Fortnite VBucks price upgrade that comes with the bundle is probably leading to a more restricted in-game economy. However, Epic can still keep a 20% Epic Rewards cashback offer for the buyers who choose its built-in payment system. Players who have V-Bucks, the physical gift cards that they haven't used yet, will get the original value as printed.
