Fortnite Servers Down: Find Out Why?

Gamers around the world had a turbulent experience today as server issues disrupted multiple major titles. Among these games, Fortnite is a notable name. If at any point during the day, your gaming was abruptly interrupted and you started to worry about your account being banned, well, you are not the only one.

As of now, Fortnite has not stated when players can expect the services to be resumed. In this post, we will take a look at the reason why Fortnite servers are down.

Why are the Fortnite Servers Down?

The reason why Fortnite Servers down is due to the issues that Cloudflare is having. However, Fortnite is not the only game down at the moment, as League of Legends and Roblox are also down due to the same Cloudflare issues.

This caused quite a stir as multiple players believed their accounts had been banned for no apparent reason. However, after the actual reason surfaced, the community calmed down.

@HYPEX was one of many people who took it to their official X to let people know why are the Fortnite servers down right now. The post was shared on 5th December 2025, around 2:40 PM (IST), which was moments after the servers went down.

This hasn't been the first time we have faced issues with games due to Cloudflare server issues. Before the outage on 5th December, we had problems with Cloudflare on 18th November.

When Will the Fortnite Servers Be Up Again?

As things stand now, PC players are not facing any Fortnite servers down issue. However, for the PS5 players who are looking to know 'is Fortnite down on PS5', it is a big YES.
