Free Fire OB54 Update Rolls Out This Week

According to the latest official announcement, the Free Fire OB54 update release date is scheduled for this coming week on June 24, 2026. The OB54 update will be rolled out in phases for different regions. The update will bring improved gameplay, mechanics and features.

Free Fire OB54 Update Brings 9th Anniversary Celebrations

Garena promises to bring fresh content across both BR and CS modes to celebrate Free Fire's 9th anniversary. Players will be able to perform a lot many activities in the match that will keep them hooked.

Anniversary Quests

The Free Fire OB54 update brings new anniversary quests for specific areas in the map. Once a team wins the drop fight and takes charge of the area, they can accept quest challenges from vending machines or quest points, and complete them to get rewards. There are three types of quests available: Collecting Fragments, Reforge the Sword, and Coins in the air

Party Venue

The Bermuda factory will be replaced with a new 9th Anniversary Party Venue. This will be the main themed scene of the update, offering new layouts and refreshed combat spaces.

Weapon Awakening

The new update is bringing a new Upgrade Chop called the 'Weapon Awakener' in-game. Players will be able to use it to upgrade their weapons to a level never seen before in the game. Only Melee weapons cannot be awakened. The ones that are awakened have unlimited ammo, with an improved stat.

When only 10 players are left in the lobby, all of them will be equipped with a Weapon Awakener, it cannot be used in grenade weapons and modes.

New Emotes

You will be able to celebrate with the Fist Bump emote not only with friends but also with opponents. Also, multiple players can use the emote at once following the OB54 update.

Perk Points

The CS mode is also getting some shakeup. CS Perk points will replace Cyber points, which can be acquired from Cyber airdrops. Use it to access many growth paths, skill boosters, awakened weapons and more. The higher the level, the better the buffs you receive.
