A GTA 6 Comment During a Murder Confession Is Going Viral for All the Wrong Reasons

GTA 6 is once again getting all the attention on social media, and this time it's not for the best of reasons. A convicted murderer went on an emotional rant about missing playing Grand Theft Auto while confessing to his crime. Moments after the police nabbed the murderer following his 999 call confession, things turned bizarre as he complained about not being able to play GTA 6 instead of showing any remorse for the crime.

A GTA 6 Comment During a Murder Confession Gone Viral

A clip has gone viral on Twitter where an alleged murderer broke down as he is going to miss playing the famous game GTA 6, after its release, while serving his sentence in prison. The clip shared by @CollinRugg, an American Investor has since gone viral on X on February 9, 2026, at 4:34 AM IST.

The murderer, who has been identified as Robert Richens, confessed to taking the life of his ex-girlfriend, 40-year-old Rachael Vaughan, in May 2025. Following his confession, Richard went on a guilt trip, not for murdering his partner but for not being able to play the upcoming game GTA 6.

Robert Richens is going to serve a minimum of 16 years in prison. The viral clip was played in court, and as per the source, it is from the time he was being taken into police custody. Richens explicitly mentioned missing Grand Theft Auto in prison. On being asked which GTA title he would miss, Richens stated that it would be GTA 6.

GTA 6 Community Reacts to the confession

The community reactions rather shadowed the perilous crime Richens had committed. Most of the community reactions stated that he is going to be fine since the game is already delayed. One such user, @howlingmutant, stated
