Inazuma Eleven: Cross will be a football simulation title, based on the popular sports anime, Inazuma Eleven, that will involve a unique storyline of a new character. You will be a coach who will try to build a team featuring a new and unknown protagonist. You will strategise, make decisions, and play matches to progress in the storyline.

The game took to its YouTube channel to announce Inazuma Eleven with a teaser/trailer. The trailer revealed the new protagonist of the new game and some gameplay videos.

From the trailer, it is evident that the gameplay is not going to be starkly different from another Level 5 vertical, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road. The president and CEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, has announced that he has started writing the script of the new story of the game.
