Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 Update Upcoming Changes Revealed

The Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 Update will be released on January 29, 2026, after a maintenance period that begins at 12:50 and ends at 20:00 (UTC-7). Players will not be able to access the game servers during this period. A pre-download feature will be available on January 28 at 03:00 (UTC-7). Wanxiang Realm Introduces a Festival That Never Ends

The most prominent element of the Infinity Nikki update in January 2026 is the Wanxiang Realm, a permanently open area that is hidden away inside the clouded realm of Linlang. The people of this area are called the Chromafaces and are distinguished by their naturally colorful facial markings.

There are a few sub-areas that establish the shifts in tone. Cai Ye is a dynamic city area that is full of light from lanterns and activity. Kongming Gorge, on the other hand, takes a completely different tone. There is little sound, and the area is characterized by vertical rocks. Jiuhua Pavilion is unlocked after completing Chapter Two of the unique quest "Where Wanxiang Weaves Life." Hovering above the moon, the pavilion offers views of musical and banqueting performances. Hiding within the pavilion is the sealed area known as the Land of Eternal Daylight.

Ability Outfit and New Combat Options Alter Exploration Flow

Exploration mechanics are expanded by the introduction of the Ability Outfit Nefarious Shadows, which can be acquired through the Heart of Infinity system. This outfit comes with the Shadow-Shatter ability, which generates a field around Nikki that reveals hidden Shadow Esselings.

Combat systems are addressed by the new bow "Hunting Shadows," which is unlocked by advancing the Wanxiang Realm’s main questline. Its Whim Combat Skill "Whirling Hunt" brings health consumption into play. When Hunting Mode is active, Nikki will constantly lose health points while automatically detecting targets.

Events, Rewards, and Store Rotations

Transient Wonders is centered around gathering Whim Lanterns in the Wanxiang Realm. It rewards players with Diamonds, a card item related to the event, and several growth resources. Flavors of Life allows players to progress through a series of tasks, which are limited to five at a time.

A new Resonance banner, Echoes of Wanxiang, comes with the five-star set Where Wanxiang Weaves Life and the four-star Song Beyond. In addition, the Resplendent Palace shop becomes available for a limited time, providing paid bundles like Pulse of the Desert and cosmetic sets such as Bling Shimmer: Makeup, accompanied by Diamond rewards. Technical Fixes

The Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 Update also fixes several graphical and system problems. Issues with dye application on sets such as Starlit Reflection and Wandering Souls have been fixed.
