Once Human Console Closed Beta: Dates and Platforms

The Once Human Console Closed Beta tests from March 26 until April 8 of 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S platforms. The system requires players to register and undergo selection process to obtain access codes and the "Console Pioneer" role.

Cross-Platform Play and Rewards

The system enables PlayStation and Xbox players to join shared servers which enable them to work together for in-game raids and resource management. After the test period ends all player progress will be erased but players who reach level 20 will receive the Abyssal Dragon Set which they can use until the full release of the game during the Once Human Console Closed Beta reward campaign.

Gameplay Content Preview

The beta includes a tutorial and Manibus scenario which requires players to gather wood and secure metal while defending against Deviants during their initial survival period. The game enters its mid-phase when players begin to explore with their squad while they face enemy forces in multiple combat situations throughout dangerous territory.

Deviant Update and New Enemies

The Version 2.3.26 “Deviant Update” introduces encounter-driven mechanics. The Devourer uses sound cues which enable players to redirect enemy attention toward elite enemies or create tactical disruptions. The Mimic Tree hides among harvestable resources which activate sensory distortion until players discover its location and then it rewards substantial wood extraction.
The Sea Slug controls underwater zones because it creates damage opportunities which happen only when it attacks and it requires teams to work together to use its grab ability.
