PlayStation State of Play Japan Schedule: Date, Time, and What to Expect

Sony’s State of Play showcases have become a staple for PlayStation fans to share some major announcements and news about future titles for PS5 and PS VR2.

Now, they have confirmed a special regional edition out of nowhere, State of Play Japan, focused specifically on games that have been created in Japan and from other locales across Asia, with just over 40 minutes of announcements and interviews. This broadcast is set to end 2025 out with enough intriguing announcements from the East.

The PlayStation State of Play Japan livestream is set to happen on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT / 11 PM CEST, and for Japanese audiences on November 12 at 7 AM JST.

Viewers can tune into the full stream via PlayStation’s official YouTube channels. The Japanese stream will be mainly in Japanese, and the global stream will have Japanese audio with English subtitles. Recent regional efforts like the PlayStation and Nodwin Gaming Announce PlayStation India Cup also show how Sony is expanding its local presence across various markets.

As per Sony, the event will be at least 40 minutes long, and it will be hosted by renowned voice actor Yuki Kaji, the voice of Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. The presentation will showcase "great games, interviews, and new looks sure to get you excited" which will feature both beloved popular studios and creative indie studios around the region.

What to Expect from PlayStation State of Play Japan

Even though Sony hasn’t provided specifics about the full lineup, the official PlayStation blog states that this edition will unveil titles that are Japanese and Asian, along with "a couple of other surprises to keep things exciting." That provides plenty of room for speculation and fans are already starting to speculate theories.

Games that seem most likely to be shown include Phantom Blade Zero, the wuxia-inspired action rpg from S-Game, and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a joint venture between Arc System Works, Sony XDev, and Marvel Games. It wouldn't be too surprising either to see Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem or Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, as both studios have long standing relationships with PlayStation.

Along with these, smaller games from indie developers from across Asia will most likely be a part of the showcase as well. While anticipation is building up rapidly, fans are already talking about seeing something from Bloodborne, Nioh 3, or Where Winds Meet.

Regardless, this State of Play Japan is bound to give us one of the more culturally unique and varied showcases that Sony has given us all year, a fitting send off to 2025's PlayStation lineup. PlayStation fans should also be excited for another reason.
