Pokemon GO Halloween 2025 Part 1: Poltchagesit, Sinistcha, and Shiny Debuts

Turn on the Lavender Town theme because the trick-or-treat season is among us in the virtual world of Pokemon GO. Scopely has just announced part 1 of Pokemon GO Halloween 2025, and the PoGo community is buzzing in excitement for the event features and the bonuses.

Halloween Events have been one of the staples of the game since it was first introduced by Niantic. From the adventurous Lavender Town theme to the festivities in the game, every year, the event brings something fresh while adhering to the theme of the event. This year, it's all about the treats for the PoGo community.

Pokemon GO Halloween 2025 Part 1: Date and Time

From Tuesday, 21st October at 10 AM to Monday, 27th October at 10 AM, part 1 of Pokemon GO Halloween 2025 event will run.

Poltchagesit and Sinistcha will make their debut in the game, giving the trainers the perfect spooky matcha tea party.

For the first time in Pokemon GO, trainers will be able to encounter shiny Sinistea, but only if they are lucky. To evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha, trainers will require 50 candies.

Please note that you will be able to enjoy the double candy bonuses from the Pokemon GO Pass Halloween 2025 rewards that coexist with part 1 of the Halloween event this year.

Wild Spawns of Pokemon GO Halloween Event 2025 Part 1

The following species will be spawning more frequently in the wild:

• Zorua
• Greavard
• Hisuian Zorua

If you are lucky, you can encounter Sinistea in the wild too.

Please note that Sinistea is one of the spotlight hours of October. Make sure to gear up and hunt for the shiny Sinistea, as it will be available during the Sinistea spotlight hour.

Pokemon GO Halloween Event 2025: All Raids

Now that you are aware of the wild spawns, let us take a look at the features of different raid tiers during the Pokemon GO Halloween Event 2025:

As per the 5-star raid, it has already been announced that Normal Genesect, Shock Genesect, and Douse Genesect will be featured in 5-star raids from 21st October to 28th October. From 28th October to 4th November, we will see Altered Giratina in 5-star raids.

As per Mega Raids go, from 21st October to 28th October, we will see Mega Houndoom and Mega Absol in raids. From 28th October to 4th November, we will see Mega Gengar, Mega Sableye, and Mega Banette in raids.

Field Research for Pokemon GO Halloween 2025 Part 1

Pokemon GO Halloween Avatar Items and Stickers

As we see every year, a remix of the Lavender Town music will be playing all night during this year's Halloween event. Turn up the in-game sound to enjoy the vibes of Lavender Town no matter which corner of the world you are playing from.

But that's not all. Similar to last couple of years, all the PokeStops and Gyms will be dressed and decorated in a Halloween theme. Expect the spooky vibes of Halloween with Pumpkins and the orange/black color scheme in the map this year!
