Pokemon GO Harvest Festival: Debut of Dipplin and Hydrapple

Before the infamous Halloween Event kicks in, we have Pokemon GO Harvest Festival Event making a return to the game. This time, the event features the debut of new species along with boosted shinies and a chance to collect a lot of Stardust.

After the success of last year's event, the expectations among the PoGo community were high for the Harvest Festival event. Given that it is one of the events that lead up to the game's infamous Spooky treats of Halloween, a lot is riding on this year's announcement. Safe to say, Scopely has delivered on those expectations.

Get ready, trainers, to celebrate the changing of the seasons with this year's Pokemon GO harvest Festival event. From extended bonuses to higher shiny rates, here's everything that the trainers can look forward to at this year's event.

Pokemon GO Harvest Festival: Save The Dates

The Pokemon GO Harvest Festival starts on 10th October 2025, at 10 AM local time. The event runs until 16th October, 2025, 8 PM local time.

The main focus of the event is the debut of Dipplin and Hydrapple. Other than that, there are interesting bonuses that the trainers can enjoy along with exciting shiny hunts.

Trainers can use 200 Applin candies and 20 Syrupy Apples to evolve Applin into Dipplin. To evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple, there are 400 Applin candies required. Moreover, you would need to catch seven dragon-type species with Dipplin as your buddy. Once you meet the requirements, you can evolve the Dipplin.

How to get Apples for Dipplin and Hydrapple?

During the event, trainers can collect syrupy apples. Apples will have a boosted chance of appearing at stops that have mossy lures activated. Tapping on them will reward the trainers with sweet apples, tart apples, and syrupy apples. Moreover, if you are lucky, you can encounter an Applin.

Wild Encounters of Pokemon GO Harvest Festival

Now that you are aware of what the debut Pokemon and the requirements of evolution are, let us take a look at the wild encounters of the event.

The following species will be appearing more frequently in the wild:

• Miltank
• Combee
• Smoliv
• Applin (If you are lucky)

Please note that Combee is a Stardust-boosted species. Check out our guide on how to get Stardust in Pokemon GO. Also, only the female Combee can evolve.

Pokemon GO Harvest Festival Event Bonuses

Here are the bonuses that trainers can enjoy throughout the event:

• Increased chance to encounter shiny Smoliv and shiny Pumpkaboo.
• The stops with Mossy Lures will have higher chances of giving apples.
• All the trainers will get 2x candies for catching Pokemon with Silver and Normal Pinap berries during the event.

Please note that Combee will be spawning in the wild throughout the event. It is an excellent chance to catch a lot of Combee and collect hefty Stardust from it. Don't forget to put down a Star Piece.

Field Research Tasks

Throughout the event, there will be special field research tasks available. While the jury is still out as to what the tasks will be, we have news on the encounters from the research tasks:

• Pumpkaboo (If you are lucky, you can encounter the shiny variant as the rates are boosted)
• Smoliv (If you are lucky, you can encounter the shiny variant as the rates are boosted)
• Applin (Shiny not available)

Pokemon GO Harvest Festival Collection Challenge

There will be two Collection Challenges available throughout the event. Complete the catch and evolution-focused collection challenges to obtain Mossy Lure Module, Stardust, Syrupy Apples, and encounters with Applin.

Paid Timed Research

There is a paid timed research available during the event for the cost of USD 4.99 or the equivalent pricing based on your local currency. When you buy this ticket, you will have these bonuses:

• 2x Mossy Lure duration
• Increased chance to get berries from stops. This includes Golden Razz Berries and Silver Pinap Berries (if you are lucky).

In addition to these bonuses, you will also be able to get the following rewards through timed research:

• 30 Silver Pinap Berries
• Three Mossy Lure Modules
• Encounters with Applin

Similar to the events that we have seen, Pokemon GO trainers can purchase the ticket for themselves and gift it to their friends if they wish. However, a Great Friend or higher friendship is required to gift the ticket to a friend. If you purchase the ticket from the web store, you can receive an additional reward.
