Pokémon GO is about to begin with an all-new Lechonk Spotlight hour event, starting from August 26th, 2025. The event shall reward the trainers with a 2x Transfer Candy Bonus and a chance to catch the normal-type Pokémon. The Spotlight hours in the month of August include a unique Pokémon with a special one-hour bonus. This happens to be the final Pokémon Spotlight for the month, and the trainers can catch themselves a shiny Lechonk and get 2x Candy transfer to space out their Pokémon storage.

This event is going to start immediately following the conclusion of GO FEST Season. The community highly appreciated the GO Fest season, and the developers have already announced the return of the legendary Eternatus in the coming days. The Lechonk event has also gained considerable traction in the community after the success of GO Fest.
