Pokemon Legends Z-A Release: What's Coming In Pokemon GO

The celebrations do not stop in the game as October comes bearing gifts. While the community has its eyes locked on what this year's Halloween event features, Pokemon GO just dropped a bombshell in the form of Pokemon Legends Z-A release celebration in the game. Scopely just announced that the PoGo community will be celebrating the release of the upcoming Nintendo Switch game.

This hasn't been the first time that the game has seen themed events that celebrate new milestones of the anime and the mainstream games. However, with Pokemon GO Legends Z-A release, Scopely is looking to enhance the player experience of the event.

The game is bringing Lumiose City's favorite starters and outfits in the game to make the Pokemon hunting better for you and the trainers around the world. The celebration will begin on 16th October, 2025, and it will last until 20th October, 2025. Here's everything we know about the Pokemon Legends Z-A release celebration.

Pokemon Legends Z-A Release Celebration: Special Background

A part of the celebration sees mega Pokemon feature in raids more often this season. During the event time, trainers will get to see Chikorita, Totodile, and Tepig more frequently in the research tasks. If you are lucky, you can encounter a shiny variant of these three starters. All of these starters will have a special background (if you are lucky). Scopely doubles the celebration by allowing the trainers to finally have access to the community day moves for these starters without using an Elite TM.

• Evolve a Chikorita all the way to Meganium to unlock Frenzy Plant.
• Evolve a Tepig all the way to Emboar to unlock Blast Burn.
• Evolve a Totodile all the way to Feraligatr to unlock Hydro Cannon.

Pokemon Legends Z-A Release in Pokemon GO: Timed Research

In addition to all of these Pokemon GO exclusive features, there is a free event-exclusive timed research. It will comprise branching tasks. When the trainers complete the tasks, they will earn XP, Poffin, Candy, and encounters with the starter species mentioned above.

The first partner species you choose will have an increased chance to be attracted to the daily adventure incense. Since this is a timed research, make sure you complete it on time and claim the rewards before the event ends.
