Because, in this one-hour window, they will be able to hunt for the shiny variant of the species.

On 28th October 2025, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Sinistea will be spawning in the wild and PokeStops near you. Gear up and hunt for the shiny variant of it.

When was Pokemon GO Sinistea Spotlight Hour announced?

In the month of October update, we already know what will be the spotlight hours in the game. While the news of Sinistea spotlight hour is old, a fresh reminder came yesterday.

@FlareblazeA took it to their official X to make the Pokemon GO Sinistea spotlight hour announcement live with the community. The post was shared on 26th October, 2025, around 11:50 PM.

Given how rare it has been in the wild during Part 1 and the Pokemon GO Halloween 2025 Part 2 event, the community is excited for the Spotlight hour.

Pokemon GO Sinistea Spotlight Hour Bonuses

The Pokemon GO Sinistea spotlight hour will have the bonus of 2x catch candy.

We already gave a 2x candy bonus going on for the Halloween event. Therefore, for every Sinistea catch, we can expect six candies. If you catch a Sinistea with a Pinap Berry, we will be able to collect 12 candies. Also, if trainers catch a Sinistea with a silver Pinap, the candy count per catch is 14.

Please note that the shiny odds during the Pokemon GO Sinistea spotlight hour are not boosted. Trainers will have 1 in 512 odds to catch the shiny spooky cup.
