Supercell's Latest Hint Suggests Project RISE Beta May Launch Sooner Than Expected

A simple Discord conversation revealed one of the biggest pieces of information for Supercell fans. Project R.I.S.E, the RPG Roguelike, is likely to arrive in August 2026. Apparently, the beta test of this title was cancelled in 2025, and a wave of disappointment went through the Supercell fanbase.

This news, however, wasn't a shock for everyone, especially those who've been following the latest news from its developers. A few months back, the Supercell team shared a detailed development update. And the potentially upcoming Project RISE CBT is likely to be the next major milestone in the roadmap. Let's check out what eventually happened and what the major changes are in the upcoming beta test.

A Discord Conversation Sparked Hope Among Supercell Fans

As discussed, one of the creators, @SuperVinnyYT, recently made an X post, mentioning Project RISE Beta. Back in November 2025, the developers apparently cancelled its launch as the team thought the project wasn't ready. For context, Project RISE is an RPG Rougelike title based on the Clash Universe.

Therefore, players can expect familiar characters at its global launch. The devs at Supercell, however, shared some interesting news a few months back, and it certainly sparked a ray of hope amongst the Supercell fanbase.

The recent X post should act as a major step in the whole RPG rougelike's development process. The creator has shared a screenshot of a Discord chat. One of the Supercell fans asked one of the devs, Remnant_Supercell, whether the beta will arrive in July or August. The authority clearly highlighted “August” as its beta release date.

Therefore, Project RISE August Beta seems possible. If this becomes true, it'll be a wait for a couple of weeks before it hits the server. Project RISE Gameplay Changes In The Upcoming August Beta

As mentioned, Supercell developers have already shared a few insights on the major rebuild. And apparently, they're feeling confident with the upcoming changes, which might or might not arrive in the August beta. Here's an overview:

• Hero Kits will become more intense, as they'll feature Skill, Light, and Heavy attacks.
• The devs have completely redesigned the Tower structure, ditching the old concept.
• The team initially planned to release a large number of characters at the beta launch. They, however, will now focus on launching with a smaller roster. In such a way, they'll have the time to work on other Heroes to make them perfect.
