PUBG: Battlegrounds is introducing PUBG Ally, an AI-controlled Co-Playable Character (CPC) that works as a full squad member instead of a background bot. It focuses on real-time decision-making, communication, and tactical awareness, changing how solo and short-handed squad matches play out on the battlegrounds.

The earlier PUBG bots were designed to follow fixed rules, had slow rotations, predictable peeks and used limited combat logic. PUBG Ally instead utilises NVIDIA ACE-powered generative AI and KRAFTON’s on-device models.

Now it is possible for Ally to rotate with the zone, change guns based on distance, run away from losing fights, and be in the right place during third-party situations instead of committing every time.

PUBG Ally understands voice and text commands given through standard PUBG callouts. For instance, players can instruct the Ally to “hold this compound,” “push after smoke,” or “loot for meds.”
