In case you're jumping into Rainbow Six Mobile for the first time, welcome to a world where every corner matters and every sound can change the outcome of a round. Ubisoft has finally ported its popular FPS title to handheld devices. On that note, this Rainbow Six Mobile guide will certainly help you get an overview of the tactical shooter.

What is Rainbow Six Mobile?

Rainbow Six Mobile is a tactical 5v5 FPS title from Ubisoft. It will be globally released on February 23, 2026. Featuring the same mechanics from its original version, Rainbow Six Siege X (PC Version), the title is specifically designed for mobile devices. Mobile gamers can experience the same destructible environments, the intense heat between rounds, along with specialised characters with unique abilities.

Rainbow Six Mobile Gameplay Format

The Rainbow Six Mobile gameplay format is the same, with two sets. Defenders and attackers face each other to win rounds. Each character features unique weapons, and they can't be swapped like the traditional FPS games. It's more like a Hero shooter, where each character has a unique ability, and players must utilise it properly.

Rainbow Six Mobile Game Modes

Similar to its PC edition, Ubisoft have introduced four Rainbow Six Mobile Game Modes. It features: Bomb, Team Deathmatch, Ranked Mode, and Bomb Rush. Here's a detailed brief in our Rainbow Six Mobile Guide:

Bomb

It's a standard game mode, with 5v5 tactical shooter features. Attackers try to find rooms that have two bombs. Defenders, on the other hand, will try to protect the bombsite. Attackers must breach different premises or eliminate the whole Defender team to secure victory.

Meanwhile, Defenders can either defuse the planted defuser before time runs out or eliminate the whole Attackers' team to defeat them. Speaking of the esports scene, we recently covered the Rainbow Six Siege X new teams announced, which you can check out by visiting our official website.

Team Deathmatch

Team Deathmatch is much more of a casual gameplay mode. Two teams featuring five players will face each other in a kill fest. The main objective of this mode is to kill your opponent, and the team reaching the ultimate elimination goal will secure victory. If time runs out, the team with the most kills wins.

Ranked Mode

Ranked Mode features the classic bomb mode gameplay. A standard 5v5 approach, Attackers and Defenders fulfil their objective. Ubisoft has introduced ranks, starting from Rookie IV to Master. Upon winning a certain number of matches, players can unlock their skill group. Rank will reset each new season.

Bomb Rush

Bomb Rush mode resembles Quick Play mode in Rainbow Six Siege X, but with a much faster approach. The site reinforcements will be done, and the bomb positions will be revealed to the Attackers. Interestingly, all Attackers will be equipped with defusers. Therefore, the main objective is that players must dive in and complete their objectives, but in a much more organised way.
