Sega Football Club Champions, popularly called Sega FCC, is one of the most anticipated football simulation games of 2026. The game has already announced its arrival on January 22nd, 2026. Ahead of its official release, Sega FCC has also partnered with several top leagues and clubs to onboard them in the game. These collaborations will allow the devs to bring real-life footballers and athletes into the game, which will provide a more realistic and immersive experience to the users.

All Confirmed Official Licenses

As per the official announcements, the Sega Football Club Champions currently has the licenses of some of the top leagues and clubs. Amongst the top leagues that are licensed in the game are the Japanese Top Tier, called the J-League. The Korean top-tier league, K-League, is also licensed in the game.
In addition to these, Sega FCC has also received the licenses of the top English club, Manchester City. The game has also officially partnered with FIFPRO, which grants it the right to use players from its massive database.

FIFPro Player License

Sega Football Club Champions has signed an official partnership license with FIFPro. This means the game will be able to use the names, images, faces, stats and data of the professional footballers registered with FIFPro. The licensing will also allow the game to feature more than 5000 real footballers. FIFPro licensing will enable Sega FCC to feature the real names, faces, and data of players, even if the entity does not license their clubs or national teams. The details of the players who will feature via the FIFPro Player License are likely to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

Meiji Yasuda J.League

Sega FCC has also partnered up with all Japanese leagues. This means the game will feature J1, J2 and J3 leagues, their clubs and all players. This licensing has made way for as many as 60 clubs in the game. You will get to pick some of the top J-League stars from the game's transfer market to build your team and train them to make the greatest football club. You will also find the real kits of all 60 J-League clubs in the game.

K League

The Korean top flight, K-League, is also an official partner of SEGA FCC. Much like other licenses, this collaboration also follows a similar pathway. You will find the real names and faces of all the players from the K-League clubs. In addition, you will also get to see the real kits of all the clubs in the K-League. The real kit, face and names of the players will give you a realistic and immersive experience as if you are managing, buying and transferring players like a real tactician.

Japanese Football Association

The Japanese football association is the only officially licensed National team of Sega FCC as of now. You will be able to use the national team kits of Japan and also find players from the National team in the game's transfer window and rival teams.

Sega Football Club Champions has also collaborated with some football clubs ahead of its official release. Club licensing will allow Sega FCC to add its entire roster to the game. You will get to see the real-life faces, player kits and IDs of the club's professional footballers. The licensing may even see the club's manager pitted as a rival against you in the game. Manchester City

Sega FCC announced the first officially licensed clubs in their game to be the Premier League giants, Manchester City. Sega FCC made the announcement on 16 December 2025 about this collaboration. Manchester City is one of the most valued football clubs in the world and houses top stars like Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and more.

This official licensing will allow you to use these stars in the game. You will have the chance to sign the likes of Erling Haaland, Silva, Foden and many more top stars in-game. If you are a Manchester City fan, you will love the experience of managing your favourite stars, training them and seeing them win titles under your gaffership.

What’s Not Fully Licensed Yet?

Sega FCC, being relatively new, lacks many prominent licenses. For starters, it has only 2 official leagues (J and K leagues), one national team and 1 club. Yes, the FIFPro licensing will give the game access to more than 5000 individual players, but still, there will be much unlicensed content in the game. Unlicensed content will result in generic player names, faces and team kits which will hamper the experience of the users.

Sega FCC needs to add more licensed clubs, leagues and FIFA-approved tournaments to compete with other games in the genre of football management. As of now, some of the major missing licenses in the game include top European leagues, top-tier clubs and continental competitions. One can expect Sega to gradually increase the proportion of licensed content in the game after its release.
