The Game Awards 2025: All The Winners This Year

The Game Awards 2025 is today! The 12th edition of TGA is live from Los Angeles' Peacock Theatre. In addition to awarding the best game in multiple categories, it's all about new games released in the Game Awards 2025.

Joining the host, Geoff Keighley, players get to see this year's biggest releases on the grandest of stages. While games such as Decrepit and the Free Shepherd are the talk of the show at the beginning of the event, we got to see the winners announced later. Prior to the beginning of the show, we already knew the nominees for each category. In the Game Awards Predictions 2025, we had our favourites. Following the live event today, we got the chance to see who the winners of The Game Awards 2025 winners across hundreds of games released on multiple platforms this year.

Best Family Game: Donkey Kong Bananza

The award was handed out during the pre-show of The Game Awards 2025. Donkey Kong Bananza has won the best family game this year.

Best Independent Game: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Coming into The Game Awards 2025, we already knew that it would be the year of Clair Obscur. They started their sweep by winning the Best Independent Game title.

Best Action Game: Hades 2

Hades 2 has been awarded the title of best action game at The Game Awards 2025. The title has been awarded by none other than Jeffrey Wright and his son, Elijah.

Best Adaptation: The Last of Us: Season 2

Following the 2nd win of Clair Obscur in the form of Jennifer's best performance, the award for best adaptation has been given to The Last of Us: Season 2.

Best Game Changer: Girls Make Games

The Best Game Changer award goes to Girls Make Games. Felicia Day went on stage to present the award on behalf of Girls Make Games.

Best eSports Game: Counter-Strike 2

While everybody saw this coming, Counter-Strike 2 has been voted as the best esports Game at The Game Awards 2025.

Best Mobile Game: Umamusume

While there were different expectations for the best mobile game award, the title was won by Umamusume at The Game Awards 2025.

Best Ongoing Game: No Man's Sky

Following the best mobile game, No Man's Sky has been awarded the title of the best ongoing game at The Game Awards 2025.

Content Creator of the Year: MoistCr1TiKaL

At The Game Awards 2025, MoistCr1TiKaL was awarded the Content Creator of the Year title. The streamer reacted to his winning with “Welp, that's cool!”

Best Action Adventure Game: Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight has won the award for the best action-adventure game at The Game Awards 2025. The award was announced right after the new trailer of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

Best Sim/Strategy Game: Final Fantasy Tactics- The Ivalice Chronicles

The game of the year 2025 has been awarded to Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. It was nothing but a one-sided sweep for the game, as it has won multiple awards this year.
