VALORANT Fans React as Kyedae and TenZ End Longtime Relationship

With the ongoing VCT season, the Valorant fans went into shock after a popular Canadian streamer, Kyedae Shymko, made a shocking X post. The post conveyed the message that she and Tyson TenZ Ngo broke up. Now, for those who have followed both of their carrer path pretty closely, know how much of an internet sensation they were. Starting from playing Valorant to cooking streams, they spent a long time sharing their journey on social media.

Followed by the unexpected post from Kyedae, the esports fans have surely gone wild. While a huge chunk is blaming Kyedae for this breakup, the rest are heartbroken and continue to showcase love for the couple. Revisiting Kyedae and TenZ's once-unbreakable journey

TenZ and Kyedae first met in 2019 as they went to the same high school, and soon enough, they felt the connection between themselves and became a couple. Like any other relationship, the couple went through several ups and downs during their tenure, and a few from the community witnessed every moment. As discussed earlier, starting from queuing for Valorant matches together to travelling streams, they used to share every bit of their highs and lows with their fans.

Talking about ups and downs, TenZ won two Valorant Masters Championships, and Kyedae even joined 100 Thieves and is growing her fanbase as well. Meanwhile, the couple got engaged in August 2022, and since then, everyone thought there was no end to this joyride. The happiness, however, was short-lived. During March 2023, Kyedae made a bold move and revealed that she was diagnosed with acute leukaemia, and everyone showcased their sympathy for the 24-year-old Canadian. However, in September of that year, she finished her chemo and made a successful recovery. From then, the journey was quite smooth, until February 8, 2026, marked as the dark day of their relationship, and Kyedae made a post.

As soon as the X post came out, it went viral and a huge chunk already blamed Kyedae for this situation. One of the users @soldierboy_23 commented how Kyedae has no gratitude, and even though TenZ sacrificed his career for her, she seems to be left behind every bit. They commented:

Amidst a sea of negative comments, some even sarcastically shared gym routines for TenZ to cope with this phase. One of the users, @k0k1eth, shared their 4-day Pull Pull split and welcomed TenZ to the gym in advance. They commented:

As Kyedae was receiving negative comments from almost half of the Valorant community, TenZ showed up and stood up for her and explained that both are adults and the breakup was a mutual decision with neither influencing the other, which led to this phase. Kyedae and TenZ's relationship was surely among the most celebrated in the esports community. Despite calling it a mutual decision on X, everyone's speculating their part of the story. And surprisingly, both of them were quite chill about it. They even went back to their engagement photo and made some sarcastic comments about it.

As discussed, while a plethora of well-wishers were blaming Kyedae, it's good to see how TenZ stood up for his ex-partner and explained how it really was a healthy relationship, and both contributed and sacrificed equally. Now that they're separated, fans will no longer witness the ultimate TenZ and Kyedae duo. The decision was surely quite heartbreaking for fans.
