VCT 2025 Americas Stage 2: Schedule & Format

Schedule

The VCT 2025 Americas Stage 2 began on July 18, 2025, and is scheduled to close its curtains on September 1, 2025. However, the event is played on two different formats. While the group stage is about to conclude on August 18, 2025, the playoffs will begin on August 22, 2025, and are scheduled to finish on August 31/September 1, 2025 (dates may vary across different regions).

Format

As mentioned earlier, the VCT 2025 Americas Stage 2 is divided into two stages. While the group stage is already going on, the playoffs are right around the corner. The group stage is being held on a standard league system with two groups featuring six teams each. All the matches are being played on a classic BO3 (Best of three) format.

However, after the top four teams from both groups (Alpha and Omega) qualify for the playoffs, the format will be slightly different. Both group winners will directly secure their ticket to the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Meanwhile, the second and third-placed teams will advance to the Upper Bracket Round 1. Lastly, the fourth-placed teams from each group will secure their place in the Lower Bracket Round 1. While most of the matches will follow a standard BO3 format, the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will proceed with a BO5 (Best of five) format.
