Wuthering Waves Version 2.6 Release Date, Banners, and Features Revealed

The new big update for Wuthering Waves, Version 2.6, called By Sun’s Scourge, By Moon’s Revelation, will arrive very soon. Developer Kuro Games shared the news during the latest broadcast, where they also showed many details about what is coming. The patch brings new Resonators, fresh quests, a new region, gameplay events, and many fixes that players were waiting.

Version 2.5 was already important since it made the game more stable and also added support for Steam Deck. But now, Version 2.6 seems to be even bigger, and Kuro Games said it is made with community feedback in mind.

Wuthering Waves 2.6 Release Date & Time

The official release of Wuthering Waves Version 2.6 is set on August 28, 2025 (UTC+8). The patch will be open on all platforms, together Android, iOS, PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5. Players can expect server downtime before the launch, and once it ends, the new content goes live.

One of the most requested additions, the flight system, is finally here. Players will be able to press a flight button and rise directly in the sky in Jinzhou and Black Shores without needing hills or platforms.

The main story also continues forward with two new quests:

• By Sun’s Burning Hand (Chapter II, Act VIII)
• By Moon’s Fated Light (Chapter II, Act IX)

On top of that, Kuro is also giving away login rewards. Anyone who enters after the update will get 10 Radiant Tide and 10 Forging Tide free as part of “Gifts of the Moon Roamer.” A new exploration area has also arrived, named Sanguis Plateaus, with new monsters and treasures inside. Fresh Echoes such as Lady of the Sea and False Sovereign are added, plus Phantom Echoes like Fallacy of No Return. Two new Sonata sets, Crown of Valor and Law of Harmony, give more build choices for combat. Events are also plenty. Things like Hunt of Ash and Steel, Moonlit Revelation, and Tidal Defense Simulator bring different kinds of play, from combat missions to tower defense and puzzles.

Popular weapons like The Last Dance, Stellar Symphony, and Woodland Aria will also rotate back in. These new Resonators and weapons go hand-in-hand with the new Echo sets. For example, Crown of Valor makes shield skills more rewarding, while Law of Harmony empowers Echo and heavy attacks. All of this aims to let players try new builds and strategies, but balance still remains important.

The update is not only about content but also about quality of life. Besides flight, exploration is now easier, mineral nodes show on maps, Lootmapper has more range, and there is a new tracking system for Jinzhou quests. The gallery now has a weapon section, so players can browse all weapons and projections. The interface is also smoother with one-click reward collection in most menus. PC players will also get more shortcuts for faster navigation.

Performance upgrade is another big part. With Version 2.6, the game supports AMD FSR 3, Intel XeSS2, and NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation. This allows better frame rates on wider types of graphics cards. It builds further on the stability work that Version 2.5 started. Kuro Games is clearly aiming to make Wuthering Waves 2.6 one of the biggest updates so far. With new quests, areas, Resonators, events, and the much-awaited flight feature, there is a lot for players to return for.
