Wuthering Waves 2.7 Banners Schedule: Characters, Reruns, and Events

Kuro Games has already revealed the details for Wuthering Waves 2.7 update, which includes banner schedule, Resonators rerun, new characters and events. The update is scheduled to arrive on October 9, 202,5, after maintenance. It is divided into two phases, each bringing a featured 5-star unit, reruns, 4-stars, plus weapons.

Phase 1 Banners (October 9 – October 29)

Featured 5-star Resonator: Galbrena
Rerun 5-star: Lupa
Boosted 4-stars: Sanhua, Mortefi, Lumi
Weapons: Lux and Umbra (Galbrena pistols), Wildfire Mark (Lupa broadblade)
Galbrena debuts as a Fusion DPS Resonator who fights using pistols in Wuthering Waves. She works best in a mono-Fusion team setup, and synergy exists with Lupa, who returns here again. Lupa gives a buff to Fusion damage and Resonance Skill, so together, both can raise performance.
For the 4-stars, Sanhua and Mortefi are already known strong characters, making Phase 1 a good chance to add copy or build them further. Lumi is also included, which can be useful in more niche cases.

Phase 2 Banners (October 30 – onwards)

Featured 5-star Resonator: Qiuyuan
Rerun 5-star: Zani
Boosted 4-stars: Yangyang, Taoqi, Danjin
Weapons: Emerald Sentence (Qiuyuan sword), Blazing Justice (Zani gauntlet)
Phase 2 introduces a new character, Qiuyuan, who is an Aero/Sword type. His animation style looks wuxia-like, graceful, and his skill set focuses on buffing crit rates. He seems intended for a hybrid or supportive role inside teams.
Zani comes back again in a rerun. She is strong but usually needs a partner, such as Phoebe, to do maximum damage. Yangyang, Taoqi, and Danjin, as 4-stars, add reliable support for different team compositions.

New Content in Version 2.7

The patch is not only about banners. It is also bringing fresh story, new map areas, events, and system upgrades.

Story and Regions

• Rinascita arc progress with quests “The Bygone Shall Always Return” and “Dawn Breaks on Dark Tides.”
• New areas: Three Heroes’ Crest on Sanguis Plateaus, and Journeying Paradise linked with Threnodian Leviathan.
• Qiuyuan's own story, “A Stranger in a Strange Land,” will also be added.

Events & Rewards

Several events headline their own rewards and resources:

• Lament Recon: Solaris Soldier
• Freeze Frame
• Septimont Weather Forecast
• Lollo Campaign: Ice Survivor

There are also some new Echo sets introduced in this update, such as Nightmare: Viridblaze Saurian, Nightmare: Baby Viridblaze Saurian, and Nightmare: Baby Roseshroom. Also, this update added a new Sonata Effect called Flamewing’s Shadow.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

The Wuthering Waves 2.7 Preview shows that this update also focuses heavily on system improvements designed to make exploration and progression easier for all players. This update also focuses on some system improvements:

• New Journey Log system to track players' progress
• A Resonator Ascension Planner to help with builds
• Updates and improvements to the UI for the Event Catalog
• Expanded environmental interactions to contribute to players' input in the game universe

All of these updates, spanning multiple areas, were made to enhance gameplay.

Planning Your Pulls

Players will want to think carefully about their available resources:

• Fusion teams, in particular, have high value from Galbrena, especially when Galbrena is paired with Lupa.
• Players who are interested in the Aero buff should seriously consider saving for Qiuyuan.
• The reruns of Lupa and Zani offer a chance for players who missed their signature abilities before.
• Each 5-star weapon banner is linked to its respective character's signature gear, which offers limited availability depending on which 5-star banner is available.

Wuthering Waves 2.7 update brings the players new Resonators, reruns, and regions, and new events, along with quality-of-life changes. The importance of both phases of the game is the debut of both Galbrena and Qiuyuan, while allowing players additional chances of obtaining both Lupa and Zani.
