PlayStation put out a new gameplay preview for the upcoming Wuthering Waves 3.0 update. The footage tries to highlight the new region, characters, and gadgets. Version 3.0 is going to shift the game in several ways. Lahai Roi, the next area being added, looks very technologically unusual, and two new Resonators get plenty of screen time as well.

Gameplay for Lynae and Mornye Shown in a Slightly Scattered Manner

One of the central things in the Wuthering Waves 3.0 is the full reveal of Lynae and Mornye, who both join the game in the Wuthering Waves 3.0 update.

Lynae uses twin Spectro pistols and moves with a kind of restless speed. The way she mixes roller-skating attacks with graffiti-like visual effects gives her an odd but memorable combat identity. Some of her animations look almost too quick, but the showcase makes it clear she thrives on mobility and rapid firing.

Mornye is a different case; she carries a Broadblade. Much of her fighting relies on lasers that fire even when she isn’t present on the field, making her look like an off-field unit even though she is supposed to be the heavy-hitting type.

During the entire showcase, Lynae is the one staying on the battlefield most of the time, while Mornye’s skills activate from above. Both characters give the sense that Wuthering Waves 3.0 is pushing toward more unusual combat methods, even if the trailer’s editing feels slightly rushed.

Expedition Motorbike Revealed

The showcase also introduces the Expedition Motorbike. Many earlier assumptions suggested the bike belonged only to Lynae, mostly because her artwork included hints of it. However, the trailer clarifies that the motorbike is a universal traversal gadget, which means any character can use it, not just her.

The vehicle can be driven in both first-person and third-person views, and it oddly plays music while a player rides it. Even with the abrupt reveal, this motorbike will probably become a major part of overworld travel. As with previous tools such as the flight utility from the Rinascita update, the motorbike seems to be designed for making exploration faster and a little more entertaining. This shows Wuthering Waves 3.0 trying to expand its world movement options, though the showcase doesn’t fully settle into explaining it clearly.

Lahai Roi’s Environment Shifting Visual Styles

The region of Lahai Roi is meant to be the main focus of the update, but the trailer shows it in a few tones that don’t quite line up all the time. At first, Lahai Roi is shown as a high-tech place filled with bright lights and mechanical structures, almost too polished. The darker lighting makes it look as if the area stays in a kind of never-ending night, maybe because it sits so close to the poles of Solaris 3.

But then, around the halfway mark, the video suddenly changes into a very different environment, one where glowing plants move in response to some sort of rhythm. The camera also shifts strangely into something more like a 2.5D view, which feels as if it might be hinting at puzzle areas or a special dungeon section tucked inside the update. This shift also lines up with how Wuthering Waves Mornye's attribute and weapon type revealed earlier teased more experimental design choices for version 3.0.

Enemy Designs Reflect Advanced Technology

The trailer also suddenly shows a fight with a mechanical foe in Lahai Roi, and it appears a bit out of nowhere. The robot’s design matches the region’s science-heavy theme, with advanced weapons that look more developed than what players have seen before.

In the fight, Lynae and Mornye combine their abilities to break down the robotic adversary, showing how their kits might complement each other. The pacing is a bit off, and the footage ends abruptly, but it still suggests enemy behaviour in Wuthering Waves 3.0 may demand more tactical preparation, especially with characters who rely on both field and off-field effects.

Despite some uneven editing and quick scene changes, the new PlayStation preview makes it fairly clear that Wuthering Waves 3.0 will deliver a noticeably larger update than usual. From new Resonators to unconventional exploration tools and a technologically rich region, the update appears to deepen the game’s systems while offering new styles of play.
