Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 Events and Rewards Revealed

HoYoverse finally shared all the details for Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5 events and rewards. The update, called “To Be Fuel for the Night,” is set to go live on December 30, 2025. It wraps up Season 2 in Waifei Peninsula, and it finally brings Ye Shunguang as a playable S-Rank Void Hunter. The update is packed with story content, new skins, limited-time events, and even some new gameplay mechanics.

Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5 events and rewards

The most significant part of Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5 events and rewards is the final chapter in the Waifei Peninsula story. Called “To Be Fuel for the Night,” it ends Season 2’s main arc with the showdown against the Exaltists. Players also get to see hints of side stories like Carole Arna, who is the Phaethon siblings’ mentor, and the AI Youkai making its moves.

The flagship event for this chapter is the Sword Seeker Chronicles, focusing on Ye Shunguang and the mysterious Qingming Sword. Proxies explore the Qingming Realm, a sandbox-style map with three combat trials set by the sword. Completing these trials unlocks new abilities like Swift Strike, combat buffs, and rewards such as the A-Rank Rupture W-Engine Cauldron of Clarity, Polychromes, outfit accessories, Hamster Cage Pass, and upgrade materials.

Signal Search Banners and New Characters

Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5 events and rewards also include Signal Search banners releasing Ye Shunguang (Honed Edge Attack) and Zhao (Ice Defense, Krampus faction) as playable S-Ranks, along with their signature W-Engines. These banners run from December 30, 2025, to February 17, 2026. The first S-Rank pull is guaranteed, and the first 10 pulls get a 20% discount.

Phase 2 of the banners arrives on January 21, 2026, bringing reruns of popular characters like Alice, Soldier 0-Anby, and Astra Yao, with their W-Engines. A free-to-play A-Rank W-Engine, Cauldron of Clarity, can be earned through the Sword Seeker Chronicles event.

Login Rewards and Limited-Time Events

Another highlight of Zenless Zone Zero's limited-time events and rewards is the free S-Rank Zhao login event. Players logging in during version 2.5 until version 2.7 can claim Zhao and materials to upgrade her to level 40.

The Zenless Zone Zero update adds new outfits, too. Ye Shunguang’s Touch of Dawnlight outfit will be discounted initially via Monochromes, while Jane Doe’s Nocturne of Light outfit will be free in the store during the update. After version 2.5 ends, the Nocturne outfit will need Monochromes to purchase.

Other events include:

• Filmgoer Thank-You Gift: Players earn ticket stubs by buying items or spending Monochromes. Stubs can be exchanged for selectable S-Rank agents like Burnice, Jane Doe, Qingyi, Grace, and more, along with S-Rank W-Engines, namecards, and bonus rewards.
• 7-Day Login Event – Coronation of the Void Hunter: From December 20, 2025, players can earn up to 480 Polychromes, plus extra 320 Polychromes for preregistration, commemorative items, and a special title.
• Check-in Events: Collect up to 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons from daily logins.

Co-Op and VR Gameplay

Zenless Zone Zero version 2.5 events and rewards also bring cooperative and VR events:

• Joint Investigation: The Divine Maze: Form three-person squads to tackle stages with unique mechanics like Lightning Counter. Players coordinate Chain Attacks and Chain Ultimates, and can revive teammates mid-fight. Rewards: Polychromes, titles, namecards.
• Shadow Riptide Clash: A limited VR event with rotating Alliance and Frontline stages. Proxies can test Ye Shunguang and Zhao while collecting Tuning Calibrators, Polychromes, and upgrade items.
• Angels and Delusions of Muse: Help the 404 Error band get out of a creative slump across New Eridu. Rewards: Polychromes, Boopons, and upgrade materials.
• Wish Filling Station: Toss bottles into the sea with Nicole and Amillion. Daily throws earn Polychromes and upgrade items.

Double-drop events return in Area Patrol and Combat Simulation stages, making it easier to farm Drive Discs and upgrade materials. A new stage in Area Patrol also adds the Drive Disc sets White Water Ballad and Shining Aria.
